I have been working at Frederick Memorial full-time

    Pros

Really good at working with your schedule and giving you time off when you need it. Co-workers are very nice and are super helpful when you have questions, or concerns.

    Cons

Pay isn't competitive and we are given a lot of responsibility for the rate of pay.

I worked at Frederick Memorial full-time

    Pros

Good People, good pay and benefits/perks, parking deck, lg. cafeteria,

    Cons

Salary increases for all can be minimal and not always yearly

    Advice to Management

Allow non medical staff the option of reimbursement for training in CPR, First Aid, etc., and perhaps expand into a medical related position.

I have been working at Frederick Memorial full-time

    Pros

Coworkers are proficient, knowledgeable, and helpful

    Cons

The organization is not focused on patient care, no support from the board or upper levels, board & upper management just want things to look nice but are not focused on what is needed to deliver safe, quality care for the patients.

    Advice to Management

Focus on evidence based practice that shows that lower patient ratios improve overall patient outcomes as well as increases moral of staff.

I have been working at Frederick Memorial full-time

    Pros

within our department everyone pulls together and does a great job! Someone always has your back with a difficult situation, patient or family

    Cons

Management and executive staff are making huge (published) salaries. Then they nickel and dime the staff that take care of the patients. Many staff live paycheck to paycheck, yet if it's a slow day, they make you clock out. Not everyone can sustain their lifestyle if their income is not guaranteed.

    Advice to Management

Make sure staff are able to work their allotted hours and guarantee their take home pay. Perhaps missing a few hours of pay per week doesn't mean much to you, but it can mean a car payment, gas bill or food for those who are on the lower end of the pay scale.
