I have been working at FreeWheel full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - Comcast investment and business strategy is positioned to win in marketplace - New leaders to take organization in a new direction - Culture adjustment through org transformation and hiring new employees globally the last 18 months

    Cons

    - FreeWheel is a Comcast property. Be proud of it, continue promotions in market, with customers and the staff - Change Management should be a core competency across entire organization. Business has gone through much transformation and will continue to achieve results

    Advice to Management

    - Increase communications for set goals/initiatives throughout year as that will benefit all - Employees not onboard with company's direction, should get off the bus... Desire and ambition are not qualities that happen organically or is trained, be flexible on prior backgrounds and stringent on personality traits - Continue taking risks with business investments; We are behind you and look forward to it!

I have been working at FreeWheel full-time for more than a year

    Pros

FreeWheel has a very welcoming environment that allows new-hires to immediately feel they've been here for years. The leadership team embodies this welcoming nature as well. A very work hard, play hard atmosphere.

    Cons

Integration with Comcast IT was difficult when first getting started

I have been working at FreeWheel full-time

    Pros

Employees are treated like actual human beings - not just through flexible work schedules and access to competitive benefits which are both readily available and should not be underrated - but also in their ability to bring their whole selves to work and be comfortable expressing ideas and sharing their unique interests. There are grass roots volunteering and and cultural initiatives everywhere you go. Everyone is encouraged...

    Cons

The organization has been through some pretty consistent change - causing teams to be tired (although with change comes opportunity for those willing to persevere) In the past, many of the senior team were close friends and contributed to the illusion of cliques and favoritism, but this has changed over the past 6 months and hopefully will continue to dissipate as we focus on inclusion going forward. Some managers are...

    Advice to Management

Senior leaders should set some very, very clear goals for the organization, trickle those down to your teams, and hold them accountable. Actually live and breathe the next level leadership we've been hearing about through mentoring, real time feedback and investment in their employees' individual development.

    I worked at FreeWheel full-time

    Pros

best culture of any company i'd worked for until it got acquired. amazing, smart, fun people

    Cons

offices are very spread out and it's hard to feel like one unified company - many offices felt like satellite offices and weren't integrated into the core

I have been working at FreeWheel full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The atmosphere is great, people get along and genuinely want to help each other. Work is interesting and plentiful. Management takes the time to listen and offer advice when needed and stays out of your way when you're on the right track. Self-expression is encouraged and self-improvement initiatives are enabled. Comcast's benefits package is quite good and starts day of hire - no waiting period!

    Cons

Sometimes top-down directional messaging is unrelatable and unabsorbable. Comcast's vacation time is lacking.

    Advice to Management

Pick simple, short, articulable, and attainable goal messaging that is applicable to all employees' responsibilities. Share them, live them and reward those who help attain them. Create an evident and unmissable sense of unified momentum.
