      Pros

Freewheel has positioned itself in a great way, in a part of the industry that has massive opportunity. Most of the leadership and management are truly talented and caring individuals.

      Cons

Some parts of the business are ramping up and new teams are still in the process of being built. This has left many taking on hard work during the pandemic to pull through.

Where employees truly feel respected as individuals

Apr 21, 2020 - Senior Software Engineer in New York, NY

      Business Outlook

      Pros

A lot, mainly regarding the benefits and perks, work flexibility and the cultural vibe. But two that really differentiates FreeWheel from other tech companies, - Amazing culture in which you actually become best friends/travel companions with your colleagues outside of work - Management respect employees not just as a part of the company but really as individuals. Family and self-development of employees are always prioritized than what they bring to the table. Also I loved all the managers I directly reported to, but I might had been just lucky.

      Cons

I'm giving it five stars because I'm sentimentally attached to FreeWheel but in reality it's far from perfect. - IMO quality of code and engineering process is deprioritized for speed and client satisfaction, but it's getting better - Access privilege issues. Only three out of ten have the permission to click a button, and only one out of 50(?maybe) has the permission to grant permissions to these three people. There're a few times I worked overtime just to be the "button clicker" for someone who failed to get his/her permission to run a release... - More and more bad apples that bring no or negative value to the product or culture
