I have been working at Freedom Health (FL) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The management is very open, friendly and collaborative. This is an open door environment where people interact with each other as friends. Many opportunities for advancement with proper communication.

    Cons

Largely H1 visa employees which creates some Language barriers. American holidays are largely ignored, very clique like environment. Buildings are broken. By this I mean that signage has damage, furniture is damaged, things are dirty, lack of water pressure, paper towels, soap, etc. we often joke that we are not allowed to have these things. There’s never a coffee; make it yourself or bring it from home. Do you need a pen? Better stop at CVS and get a couple. Getting office supplies is kind of like asking for a raise.

    Advice to Management

Offer language exchange where English speaking employees can interact with non-English speaking employees to decrease the gaps. Include everyone in your gatherings even if you don’t like them or they are not part of your group. Some people feel excluded.

I have been working at Freedom Health (FL) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good area close to shopping and lunch options and close to interstate. That’s about it. Too bad office is in despair needing demolition and rebuild

    Cons

No training but expected to magically know everything. Staff is unprofessional and clearly never worked anywhere else but behavior allowed. Pay is low compared to other companies, no real bonus, only match 2 percent on 401k, benefits are expensive and coverage is poor. Nepotism is beyond- forced to take friends and family of owner despite having any experience or even speaking English. Family in leadership positions and lack knowledge but acceptable due to relationships. Must work within a system that does not work properly but you guessed it NEPOTISM at its finest. Acceptable so they can sell Great plan but should work out kinks not practice and sacrifice star ratings and Claims. No room for growth no opportunities. Cultural beliefs pushed on employees who are not of same. This should be a choice not a directive. Owner is a philanthropist which is admirable but should give to employees making him all those billions.

    Advice to Management

Advice to New Owners: Get rid of system, nepotism, buildings, get rid of people who shouldn’t be there and hire people who will see to success of company

I worked at Freedom Health (FL) full-time

    Pros

When it’s good, it’s good. If the COO selects you as on of her favorites then You’re golden. You will gain a lot of experience because your job title has nothing to do with what you are expected to do. Use as a stepping stone for something better because I can guarantee you will find something better.

    Cons

Keep your head down and stay under the radar. The coo is extremely judgmental and will make it her mission to make you uncomfortable and subpar. Management should be leaders, this company is ran by a micro managing tyrant of a boss who scams everyone she comes in contact with. If you are a company doing due diligence and checking on the history of the company, DO NOT SIGN WITH BEACON. You will lose millions of dollars and tons of membership.

    Advice to Management

Stop allowing the coo to cherry pick her staff. She has fluffed it with family and friends. Investigate what vendors you are paying... conflict of interest

    Pros

    - There can be somewhat of a family mentality
    - Great advancement opportunities if you manage to be someone's favorite
    - Pay is decent for the area

    Cons

    - Management plays favorites
    - Management protects people from consequences because they are a relative of someone in management
    - Many people are promoted ONLY because they are a relative of someone in management
    - Night and weekend hours required to work after given a set schedule

    Advice to Management

I read that the company is for sale. Hopefully the person who buys the company does a major overhaul and fires the people making decisions right now.
