    Pros

Freescale is a world leading digital networking and automotive company. In FSL you can feel equity and comfortable at any time.

    Cons

Freescale Semiconductor is now being merged into NXP, then Qualcomm. The downside working in FSL is that you may feel unstable for the time being.

I worked at Freescale Semiconductor full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Freescale was definitely a great place to work when it came to the type of work that we did there. Developing software for embedded systems, participating in the HW definition for our platforms, interacting with customers using our products and attending events to present the latest technology are some of the activities that made it very attractive to work here.
Salary was competitive, not the best in the region but definitely was above average, work was very rewarding and work-life relation was good, which made it a good company to work.

    Cons

There were lay-offs every 2 to 3 years; constant strategy changes were also common, every new CEO came with their own staff and the executive direction was moving constantly, creating organizations shut down, new directions every other year, making it difficult to create long term value.

    Advice to Management

Focus on retaining talent when having strategy changes. I saw low performers stay because they were in an org that was not affected with the new direction and I saw very talented people being let go at the same time.

    Pros

Great company to work in Noida region. Culture is great. Many job domains available.

    Cons

There is not enough completion. The only other company which you can work for is STM.
