I have been working at Freightos full-time (More than 5 years)
Pros
Kind of a bummer to see how a few disgruntled ex-employees are digging Freightos through the first here. Of course, there are issues, but the below is anything but fair and balanced.
Freightos doesn't do the Kool-Aid bean-bag chair startup scene; it's trying to fix a real big problem that spans across a huge industry. The audacious approach is a double-edged sword which really pulls attention across a whole suite of solutions. And it's hard.
But it's also one of the coolest parts of working at freight. Within the logistics sector, it's one of the most popular tech companies, and while it feels slow (I've been here for multiple years), usage across most verticals is up. The big take a long time to fall but Freightos has a big vision and funding to execute.
- Can-do mentality that constantly seeks new challenges
- People are nice. Seriously, nice. It's fun.
- Clean offices, decent food plans, and light
- Ability to move forward pretty rapidly (of course, depending on team)
- Competitive salaries
- Transparency with employees used to be a thing; the exec team made a big push to try to resolve it.
Cons
- Focusing on a huge product ecosystem is a double-edged that sometimes feel taxing
- R&D feels like it happens a little slow.
- Office is way too cold most of the time
Advice to Management
Talk as much as possible to the employees. When you share why we're doing things, we get so much more into it. Also, don't be afraid to spend serious money on bringing in the SERIOUS talent.

I have been working at Freightos full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
Freightos is made up of a great international team of talented and motivated (and nice!) people who are working on a really hard and complex mission - i.e. to modernize the Freight industry.
They launched an ambitious product/market offering which seemed like a pipe-dream a couple of years ago, but is actually working and creating value for a growing base of customers. At the Jerusalem office there sometimes is the usual inter-team politics that you may find in any start-up, but in general there is a good environment in the office.... (and great fundays approximately twice a year).
Management sets high targets and expectations are often hard to achieve but that pushes the team to deliver some great results.
Cons
This is a growing start-up with some aggressive targets. This sometimes translates into pressure and demands for putting in extra time and effort outside of usual work hours.
Advice to Management
Stay focused on the goal, and be sure to invest in the professional growth or your biggest asset i.e. your people.

Pros
Still learn something new everyday. Huge potential. Great team. The challenge is HUGE and it's so exciting to have an impact. I am literally never bored.
Cons
Hard work. And lots of it. (but honestly it's pretty fun so can't complain)
Advice to Management
Keep the transparency and open communication up. This is really important and part of what makes Freightos great.

Pros
It looks good from the outside.
Cons
Rotten on the inside. Lots of infighting and siloed departments.

I have been working at Freightos full-time (More than a year)
Pros
The Freightos Jerusalem office has amassed an incredible collection of family-first yet highly ambitious, smart people interested in getting the job done. That is, tackling the many challenges in building success upon success in what is effectively a technology layer within the international freight sector. The company is well-managed, has a strong culture of being data-driven, transparent, and there is plenty of growth opportunity for those who are ready to put in the effort.
The company has a fantastic brand and great traction.
Cons
The open office space makes it very difficult to concentrate, and there is a shortage of meeting rooms. Also, since this is a very flat organization based on "matrix" org style, it's sometimes difficult to decipher what exactly the work priorities should be on a given day (this could be a huge plus for self starters, but can also sometimes be frustrating).

I worked at Freightos full-time
Pros
Ten bis (discounted lunch)
Nice office - although very open-plan
Cons
I had a really horrible experience during my very brief time at the company (was headhunted from my former job and left after a few months - stress was starting to have physical effects!).
I worked under an abusive tyrant of a boss who took micromanagement to a level I never even knew was possible. The company makes extensive use of extremely cheap Palestinian and Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) workers - my job was to essentially harass them by "syncing up" for status updates throughout the day. These people were clearly depressed at the abusive conditions they worked under and seeing these worn-out souls in person at the on-site training was distressing.
Fun fact: the whole company has been built on the lie that they have invented some sophisticated high-tech system for generating freight quotes - in reality, they employ an army of sweatshop workers to make the "magic" happen. Take the Palestinians and Haredim out of the picture and the whole thing would fall apart at the seams.
I pushed back on my boss fairly early on - he criticized me for not arriving before my shift and was even observing how I had my desk laid out from his seat (which was literally directly opposite me - talk about uncomfortable!). These criticisms were then laid out in exhaustive detail in emails that were often sent in the small hours of the morning - the guy didn't seem to sleep. Screw that!
There's also a total startup Kool-Aid culture here. Don't expect any work life balance and those that are best at sucking up to their line managers seem to get ahead most quickly.
I brought all these concerns to the attention of the CEO and CFO during my exit interview. Both are totally disinterested in the conditions of entry-level workers and their only concern was whether I was going to sue the company (if I had the means, and a lot of time, I might for constructive dismissal). Zvi Screiber has the social intelligence of a sack of potatoes and lacks the charisma and leadership to run any company.
I was very lucky to fall into a great job shortly after leaving this place, but my only regret is that I didn't jump ship even sooner.
Advice to Management
Stop pretending that most of your staff are remote Palestinian workers to "build peace" -- you're looking for the cheapest labor you can find. And maybe be transparent about that!
Also, you should weed out the toxic characters that remain simply because they were part of the initial cohort.
It's actually fascinating that you can continue with the huge raises despite being totally dysfunctional on the inside.

I have been working at Freightos full-time
Pros
Decent benefits for Jerusalem and we just had an excellent company fun day!
Cons
We recently held a company-wide, awkward meeting held to discuss low morale at the company. People were put on the spot and asked to say in front of everyone what it was that bothered them. It was odd.
People quitting or fired left and right; not sure what kind of future I have here
Many late nights
