    Mindnumbing, boring but stable

    Pros

Great staff retention, people know how to do their core jobs due to the fact the ethos is most people stay in their job for god knows how long, prior to even having smartphones. Dinosaur culture but why would you want to move if you did get paid well and have a stable job Great location and spacious offices, bit soul destroying but can’t complain. Good benefits also, maternity leave is decent and statutory pay rises, unheard of in media industry. You’d be lucky to keep your job half the time. Nice people - working in media, there are vile people everywhere. Generally here, the people are nice and they treat people with respect. There aren’t constant politics or backstabbing. People keep to their own and try to do their jobs.

    Cons

This isn’t the type of company you’d go to in order to feel challenged. It is very siloed but that’s what you tend to get at large organisations like this. The main disadvantage is while there is very little work or little overtime for most, people would still expect you to sit there and pretend to work. Perhaps sending them on training courses would be more worthwhile or I don’t know discussing taking on more work?!

    Pros

Large company with lots of talented individuals. Great opportunities to work within a large organisation with lots of networking.

    Cons

Genuinely can't think of any to mention? The offices felt a bit too corporate?

    Fun & Hardworking Company

    Pros

One of my favorite things about working at FMNA is the people, everyone is so kind, supportive and fun to be around. The company is what I would describe as mean and lean. There is a lot of work to be done which keeps us all very busy but the company also hosts fun events which gives everyone a chance to wind down and chat on a regular basis. This is definitely the best corporate environment I have ever worked in from the offices, to the events to the people, it's always a good time.

    Cons

A bit overworked and underpaid - but I feel that is norm for the entertainment industry.

Where to go from my job ...

    Pros

Very little in-fighting, well fed (Bagel Monday, Doughnut Friday, enough junk food to keep a small nation fed, and on a sugar high.) Employee interaction is encouraged, foosball tournaments, 'scavenger hunts,.' Unless you're management it's open air with low divider type cubes. Open communication from the various offices via an intranet site.

    Cons

Salary should be better for the size of the company, promotions scarce - even if chased, no internal postings for open positions. Very little involvement in the shows produced i.e. no posting of tickets for AGT, nothing on Idol, no screenings of American Gods. It's the little things that make the day.
