Great company for recent college grads

Jul 13, 2016 - Coordinator in Burbank, CA

    Pros

I worked at Fremantle for a little under 3 years now. It was my first job out of college and it was a very rewarding experience. I started out as a temp assistant and made my way up to a coordinator. There are some great educational initiatives, benefits and room for growth in the company.

    Cons

Great benefits, but pay could be more competitive for entry level.

    Horizontal versus Vertical Growth

Jan 29, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Burbank, CA

    Pros

    - Friendly culture - Fun shows/brands to work on

    Cons

    - There is horizontal growth over vertical. You can gain a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge, but there is little to no room for advancement in roles/titles - Below average pay: After doing research, I have found that I am paid $15-20k LESS than the average person in my role as Coordinator

Modern offices but old fashioned work values

    Sep 13, 2020 - Marketing and Communications

    Pros

Nice offices, friendly receptionists, open plan good to meet and easy to talk to others. Good share of information from company. You can learn a lot here.

    Cons

Expected to work extremely long hours with no extra pay, not paid hourly but could be working until late into the evening. No room for progression, HR dismissive and unfriendly. Very low pay, if annual pay was worked out to hourly it would be well below minimum wage. Fear culture to not take holiday and be expected to work out of hours.

    Pros

A very nice team to work.

    Cons

Sometimes you have a lot of overtime but they don't pay! And the worst thing is the salary. Very low for the amount of work that you have!

    HR is Not Helpful

    Pros

Nice office space with Donut Friday's, billiards, TVs, and craft service. The workspace isn't crammed together and they have convenient garage parking.

    Cons

HR claims to be there for you, but the second you go to them with a problem word travels back to whomever you complained about and your life becomes even more miserable. They do not protect you and don't make the authority figures change. They don't care about the low men on the todem pole. Their pay is also on the low side for what the job entails.

There is a good sense of teamwork and the pay isn't bad. Employee spirit is good and you feel you're working for a purpose

    Cons

Hours of expected work is high and the company will expect you to give a lot of effort.
