positive tech culture and great people
Dec 15, 2022 - Product Marketing Manager in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- growing company - communicative leadership - great co-workers - positive attitude - fun tech culture - top name clients - work-life balance - flexibility of remote while still having office to meet people in person
Cons
Just the usual growth "pains" with putting processes in place, etc but I see it as an opportunity to define the future and the role you play in it.

Great place to work, boring job
Apr 26, 2022 - Digital Media Analyst in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The people there are genuinely very nice (managers included), the pay is surprisingly good for for how easy the work is, and there is plenty of room for advancement as the company is rapidly growing. There was also a lot of flexibility; I took lot of breaks in the middle of the day and if you need to leave early no one really cared as long as your supervisor was aware. If you are interested in digital advertising, this is a great place to work.
Cons
The work and hours were not what I expected from the interviews. It was boring, repetitive work that regularly finished at 8 or 9pm (no overtime) despite being advertised as a 9 to 6. This makes the salary worth less, as the effective hourly rate suffers and the time spent working is like pulling teeth.

Great Culture, Low Pay and Lots of Hours
Dec 17, 2022 - Full Stack Software Engineer in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working towards a great product. Unlimited PTO. Working remote. Great people culture with a nice startup vibe. Cool swag. Awesome holiday events and parties.
Cons
Low salaries. No real opportunity to grow. Loose processes. While there is no fixed work schedule, you are expected to put more than 40 hrs a week. Lots of overtime and night calls.

Growing Company, Endless Possibilities
Nov 1, 2022 - Creative Director in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you are motivated by ownership, a self-starter and excited to contribute to a company that is growing fast, this is a fantastic place to develop your career! • Flexibility • Exciting Work • Variation of Work (No boredom here!) • Great Benefits • Excellent Leadership • Unlimited PTO
Cons
If you are someone that likes to be told what to do, needs a lot of hand-holding, and enjoys repetitive work, this isn't the place for you. Lots of work on new products/new techniques - which is hard for some who would rather just be along for the ride.

Grateful to Be Here
Feb 25, 2022 - Operations in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The culture at Frequence is that of compassionate and considerate co-workers and leadership. Even with the transition to WFH and scaling the company, it still feels rather tight-knit and you can tell that the company is working hard to build a culture of inclusivity and support. There are also a lot of initiatives to foster community and encourage mentorship! Outside of the culture, Frequence does a good job on Ops to recognize and promote hard-working individuals. You can tell that management puts a lot of thought into how to foster the careers of their reports but encouraging their passions and strengths. One thing that I've enjoyed on Ops is that management and leadership listen - there is no talking down or hierarchy, everyone has a seat at the table and there are tons of opportunities to step up. If you're willing to put in the work and you're excited about your career, it's a great place to be!
Cons
Contrary to what previous reviews might suggest, the hours are really decent and the teams/management really work on making sure the team is taken care of. As with any job, there are going to be days heavier than others, but there are also lighter ones... it balances! (Side note: I've worked at Frequence for several years and I've never heard that executive rumor... but from inside knowledge, I know that is 100% not true, Frequence compensates rather fairly, and in some cases pretty competitively. And the longer I've been here, the more generous they have been...)
