    Pros

Good teamwork, for the most part. Nice coworkers, good company culture

    Cons

Contracted only in my position; no advancement opportunity for contractors.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the value that some contractors have, even more than your employees.

    Pros

Great benefits. Alright entry pay. Ability for bonuses and raises yearly. Some co-workers and supervisors are very knowledgeable and helpful.

    Cons

12 hour shifts. Very gossip orientated shift vs shift mentality. Sometimes there is an impossible production schedule to meet, other times its very slow.

I have been working at Fresenius Kabi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Employee engagement is very important.

    Cons

The management is so bad. No concerns are actually heard.

    Advice to Management

Clear out your h&r department and try again.

I have been working at Fresenius Kabi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, not very difficult, vacation time, sick time, plenty of overtime.

    Cons

Low paying position for the importance of the job. Does not increase very much at all. Started at $11 in 2015, currently making just under $13.50. Also not a very stimulating job. 12 hr shifts can be dreadfully boring.

    Advice to Management

Increase wage, this is an important position. These injectable pharmaceuticals are administered intravenously. There are people that have just been hired that are making more than me and many others that have the same position as I do.

I have been working at Fresenius Kabi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wide range of projects to work on so it's very easy to pick up something new throughout the year. The department is very well respected due to the nature of our work. This position allows for you to have a direct impact on new products, old products, and basically anything that matters at the manufacturing plant. The people in Tech Transfer are extremely intelligent and supportive. They are going through the same activities and struggles as you and are always willing to help out.

    Cons

The management is all talk and no action sometimes. They speak about changing the culture for the better but there are never any actions to back up their statements. The workload is VERY intense at times and it is very hard to plan what you will be working on as priorities can change drastically from day to day. Communication between departments is sometimes lacking. Everything is always high pressure at the last minute because everyone is burdened with work and cannot find time to plan projects accordingly.

    Advice to Management

Hire more staff. Honestly you are losing intelligent and motivated people because of the work load and difficulties getting projects completed due to delays from other departments. Increasing pay to match the expectations and work load for this department would be a great start as well.

I worked at Fresenius Kabi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I quite honestly have no pros to working for this company, other than I did leave there making some friends in some of my co-workers.

    Cons

If you like a dictatorship like management organization, not thinking for yourself or executing your skills and/ or expertise, Fresenius Kabi (Medical Devices) might be the place for you. If you prefer to keep your professional opinions to yourself, being manipulated, lied to and talked to like a child, and being demanded to do things (whether you feel/ know they are right or wrong), then you may enjoy working for Fresenius Kabi. However, if you enjoy being challenged to be your best, collaborating with others, being innovative in your field, being encouraged to speak your mind within your realm of expertise, having a management organization that is just as invested in your career developement and growth as they are their own, and/or working for a company that wants to do the right thing all the time, then I would suggest you look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Dear Management: Listen to your employees and actually act on the many engagement surveys and exit interviews you send out and conduct. It is evident to employees that you are not taking them seriously and/or following up on the feedback provided. No amount of company picnics, free nicknacks, or "go job" emails can make up for the amount of toxic management at the top of the Lake Zurich organization. There was a mass exodus last year (2016) and unless something DRASTIC happens SOON - there will be another one in 2017.

    Pros

Great co-workers. People were always willing to help out when urgent matters came up. Fresenius-Kabi also did a good job with employee engagement. Annual activities, like cook-outs, picnics, etc. were a good way to spend time with co-workers and take a break to enjoy the weather.

    Cons

A string of frequent management changes resulted in varied approaches to business and projects. This made any changes, even good ideas, difficult to implement.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to listen to lower-level employees, and make sure their talents are recognized and applied in an effective way. Get to know, and understand, what your employees do on a day-to-day basis.
