I have been working at Fresenius Medical Care - North America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company is great for the patient and patient care is very good.
There is hope. There is a lot of talk about being engaged. They say they want to encourage employee engagement.

    Cons

These comments are intended for the back office. Complacency reigns. The company is too large, slow and not innovative. There are way too many employees at head office. It is not scalable. The majority of employees are not inclined technologically, therefore work not done optimally.
This company is what it is, get used to it. Get comfortable with being complacent. It is the only way you will last- but is that the life you want?
I ask myself these questions, to keep me focused- Am I happy and is this the best I can do?
I have very little tolerance for complacency in myself. This motivates me to find something better and to bring my best game.
With every year that passes while I work here, I have moments where things seem good or at least heading in the right direction, but overall, one person cannot change anything.

    Advice to Management

Close your eyes and imagine what Fresenius could be. The company is doing well financially now, but just imagine what it could be if you had employees engaged and working optimally at head office.

    Advice to Management

Interview for staff should be more thorough for potential employee as far as interest in job and staying with the company.

    Cons

Lots of responsibilities, May travel long distances, Requires a large commitment by the Technician

    Advice to Management

Split up the responsibilities and develop a separate supply staff and department, add more site technicians to add split shifts allowing the technicians to perform a more concentrated and thorough job on a daily basis. Keep territory assignments within a 30 mile radius.

I have been working at Fresenius Medical Care - North America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good. They will also pay 80% of your tuition in exchange for 2 years of service upon graduation.

    Cons

Very stressful environment; there is little to no patient accountability. The time expectations are unrealistic given the fact that each day presents an unpredictable challenge. Other smaller companies pay more.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on patients' care and safety than TAP. Spend more time in the clinics to see what actually goes on. Show staff more appreciation and be more inclusive of CCHT input.

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care - North America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pros -
Benefits are good such as dental, vision, 401K, vacation time (able to cash it out twice a year which is a great perk for extra money), newer facilities and offices to work in.

    Cons

Management does not understand the business.
They do not take suggestions too well
    They pay extremely low
Medical Benefits are a joke for a medical company, this is probably one of the worst plans and highest I have paid.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team. Stop coming in and making sudden and unrealistic changes.
