    Pros

Advancement opportunity, promote from within, benefits & pto

    Cons

Chronically short staffed in the entire area causing burn out among staff. They just let things ride with staff they shouldn’t tolerate because they’re already short staffed. Frustrating & not good for keeping the solid employees who are always miserable due to Terrible work environment

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Figure this out or you’ll be losing more staff!

    Pros

Your work ultimately helps improve the lives of your patients. Good coworkers.

    Cons

Local and senior management do not.follow their company's policies or core values. They treat employees horribly and cover for each other. There's little support for employees.

    Advice to Management

Look at your local management closely, and not be profit or growth data, but by how they personally lead their teams. I think you'd find that many of these individuals do not lead by example and well represent the organization through their community. It takes one bad apple on the top to rot out the whole bunch.

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great PTO and competitive pay

    Cons

The incompetent managers and megalomaniacal DOs are running the company into the ground. Spineless cowards such as RVPs are also not helping this company what it could be. The Louisville, Ky. district is a night mare.

    Advice to Management

Hold your management to higher standards and take better care of techs and RNs.

I worked at Fresenius Medical Care full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

None. I’m not sure what else to say. None. Well, I guess it’s a paycheck. Have I hit my minimum word count? Okay, good. Yeah. None.

    Cons

A work environment perfect for increasing suicide. An employee from there has recently committed suicide, many others have attempted.

I’ve had the opportunity to talk to others. I thought this situation was isolated. However, I have come to learn differently.

The list of cons could go on.
Simply put, every regulatory agency should be investigating them. Talk to employees without management standing over them. Pick them at random. Surprise visit so there is no time to hide anything.

Oh also ask about their real take on quality. They’ll maintain quality, but not at the loss of production. Quantity first, bonuses, and all, then quality.

Working conditions, environment, and more is designed to destroy people and make them into robots that will keep up with production, pit each other against one another, wreck home lives as well.

    Advice to Management

Actually work with employees to come into today’s market. Oh, maybe put quality above anything else.
Fire all management from the ground level up to senior management. Replace them with people who want to focus on building a company people can be proud of, people can grow in, to develop a culture of improvement, of career growth and more.

I have been working at Fresenius Medical Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team to work with. Good benefits.

    Cons

Clinical manager is not an advocate for employees. Long hours for little pay. Practical nurses are compensated like technicians but have more responsibility when it comes to patient care.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees what they are worth. Dialysis is a speciality, no different than when going to a Doctor who is a specialist. Those employees get compensated correctly, but not in the clinic.

    Advice to Management

    Reward dietitians with CSR
