Talented, Collaborative, Organized Need Not Apply

      Pros

Freshly has several thousand employees at this point so important to break down across different teams, departments, and corresponding reviews. Facility work - Free meals Corporate work - Growing company - Not as bad as a giant faceless corporation - Good pay for tech

      Cons

Facility work - On-site facility work is a tough grind, with a lack of tools and difficult numbers to hit. Higherups are often demanding improvement instead of collaborating to build better tools and processes to accomplish goals - As a result, facility HR work is tough with a massive turnover. The company seems to ignore this and consistently runs understaffed lines and operations, points out the labor cost savings, but then missed on production (which then higherups demand action on) Corporate work - Happiness, level of influence, work life balance vary wildly between teams. Minimal cross-functional coordination or planning. Significant thrash, wasting of resources, groupthink, goal-setting without accountability, underqualified upper management making 'strategic decisions' (more often resembles wandering blindly), underqualified middle management responsible for the growth and goals of employees, - company has set unattainable goals for the next 3 years with Nestle, so the notion of investing in a scalable platform will take a back seat to growth 'hacking' i.e. tech debt accumulation without benefit lots of talk about being 'world-class' but the truth is that the company is held together with bubble gum and duct tape

      Pros

People are nice and appreciative, good work life balance, and free meals everyday. Encourage company engagement and inclusion. Great benefit package! (Health, 401k match, etc.)

      Cons

Too many hoops to jump through, no room for business growth unless you are in NY or want to work in warehouse, promote for personality not performance, lack of communication

      Great Place to work

      Pros

Great people, great culture. Always challenging. Rapid growth along with constant change for the better.

      Cons

Being acquired by a large corporation always brings some changes that need to be worked out but by and large we work through them.

      The Negative Reviews are Accurate

      Jun 11, 2021 - Anonymous Employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Unlimited PTO for some teams - Product discount - Benefits are okay, now matching 401Ks

      Cons

      - Your experience as an employee is largely dependent on your team/team lead - Owned by Nestle - Diversity and inclusion are not part of the company mission/only mentioned as reactions to events instead of proactively addressed - Cross team communication is non-existent - There is a priority for hiring outside of the company over focusing on internal career growth for employees - Hires with previous flashy roles and esteemed experience are respected more and able to accomplish more with fewer questions

      Pros

      - Easy to work with coworkers on my team - Strong push for diversity - Lots of new great leaders hired on recently

      Cons

      - Departments are siloed and lack communication - Lack of transparency especially when it comes to tracking diversity - Cross company culture is bare bone - Lots of corporate-y things that sound good but not always followed through - Don't market/hire internally
