I have been working at Freudenberg full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and private company which is more recession proof than a public company. Bonuses are supposed to be higher according confusing pay scale.

    Cons

Culture of figure pointing and being dictated too by European Counterparts makes productivity difficult. New employees are sort of on their own to for self-training on the job.

    Advice to Management

Fight for more autonomy from European Headquarters.

I have been working at Freudenberg full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice crew and nice people working there. The benefits are really good. Company oriented to preserve environment and serve community as well.

    Cons

Very serious communication problems. Upper management doesn't have a plan. There is no chance to be proactive.

Isolated area that doesn't have a bathroom facility.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to the line of duty. Get some input from the employees who deal with customers.

I have been working at Freudenberg full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is the only good thing about this company. If they continue in their current trend, that will change in the next few years as the pay for jobs in the area is rising far faster than at Freudenberg.

    Cons

As a production member, you have no value to the management. You are a number, plain and simple. No contribution from any other than the plant manager will be considered. Any mistake you make will be amplified, while anything beneficial will be credited to management.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to the employees and customers. Realize that your business decisions over the years has caused the employee loyalty to drop to the point of most employees only do what they have to in order to collect a paycheck and not to care if the company is successful or not.

I worked at Freudenberg full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nothing, i don't see a good future working with this company especially working as a machine operator. I have seen people working for 17 years but not so much increment in their salaries.

    Cons

Bad customer service, not good training to new employees, group leaders are rude, not good wage, hard job

    Advice to Management

They should improve employee customer service. They should hire good and well-organized individuals. They should also increase the hourly wage. Also, lunch should be 30 minutes for all employees. Human beings are not a machine, give them atleast 15 minutes break and 30 minutes lunch time.

I worked at Freudenberg full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very pristine work atmosphere 40 years ago. Pay was competitive with the competition. Good working conditions until "your turn" came to be ruthlessly released as part of the Peer Lorentzen clandestine rotating door policy for chemists.

    Cons

I was lucky to have been warned shortly before release despite having developed a product for which they had intensely sought after for years. I was told of at least 8 chemists, with names, that had been eased out over the then 17 years the company had been in business. The technology level was considerably lower than the technology experience I brought with me to Chem Trend.

    Advice to Management

By now, Chem Trend has probably changed a lot so any advice I would give would have to be related to the Chem Trend of 40 years ago. Stop glorifying the name of Peer Lorentzen. He was little more than a shrewd ruthless exploiter. His original technology was taken from what he had stolen from Bruce Products and Brulin and as such was quite primitive. My supervisor David B. Cox was in the habit of taking credit for the contributions of others, so I hope no glorification is occurring where he's concerned either.
