I worked at Frias Transportation Management full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Coworkers and manager/supervisor made the work tolerable. Just another job to help pay for vacations and the only reason I would recommend. Management worked really hard to make sure their employees were taken care of even when the odds were stacked against them, unlike upper mgmnt. The work wasn't hard per-se, but stressful at times.

    Cons

upper mgmnt is horrible (especially after the original owners past away), never taking responsibility for poor company sales due to lack of common-sense.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees instead of developing a strategy on how to beat the competition and over-look the real problems, but it may be too late for that now.

    Pros

No overtime, flexible with requested time off, work/life balance, understanding of ones position, company benefits, friendly co-workers, neutral environment

    Cons

Time clocks runs your life, dead end job, low pay with no significant increase to boost motivation or growth, employees used a puppets.

    Advice to Management

Management is on point (in most departments)

I worked at Frias Transportation Management full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    they guarantee minimum wage.

    Cons

They will fire you for not making the company more money than they spend on your benefits and commissions. You will need to compete with 3.520 cabs working the same 25 hotel casinos , the 2 airport terminals with roughly 600 capacity and approximately 35 cab stands downtown. Expect t spend 8 or 9 hours a day wishing you had any other job that kept you from going nuts doing nothing but waiting in line for a trip next door.

    Advice to Management

Fire management sell the company you are are never going to succeed with the Mark James business model, it was a poison pill but it appears its too late for that your already dead.

I have been working at Frias Transportation Management full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have direct deposit and that’s the only plus to working here. Management is horrible because they don’t care about complaints or anything!

    Cons

Schedules suck, pay is REALLY LOW for what you have to put up with! Management is horrible because they don’t care about complaints or anything! They’ll treat you like you’re a problem instead of help you.

    Advice to Management

    Everyone needs to be REPLACED

I worked at Frias Transportation Management full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Honestly for an entry job it’s good but that’s the only pro I can honestly think of. Temporary job is great. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Cons

Frias seems to be super strict with calling off even if emergency. They are super strict with time managing all together, with your breaks and when you clock in and out. They also will write you up pretty much any chance they get especially with attendance. Also one last thing if you plan to work there just know that no matter what you do there is cameras everywhere and you are constantly being watched. No such thing as someone not being over your shoulder. In my short time working there it had more bad times then good.

    Advice to Management

Stop favoring certain employees over others. Treat everyone the same, and treat them like they are people. Since you guys watch the cameras so much you obviously are missing ALOT going on cause there’s more than meets the eye.

I worked at Frias Transportation Management full-time

    Pros

    Good pay
    Pto
    Set schedule
    Full time
    Very chill place to work

    Cons

    Favoritism
    Little to no raises
Horrible management who sit on their high horse
    No holiday pay
    Benefits suck
    No advancement

    Advice to Management

You're not better than your employees. Get off your lazy butts and get out and do your jobs and stop placing the blame on everyone else. You guys suck as a whole glad it's shutting down

I have been working at Frias Transportation Management full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Job security, if you can roll with the punches. Benefits are good. Casual environment. Good pay if you have the credentials.

    Cons

It's easy to get stuck in some positions from which there is no upward or lateral movement. They try to low ball starting pay if you don't have certs or degrees, and increases are small.

    Advice to Management

With respect to support staff management, the income gap and cultural disconnect from employees is a bit too obvious. Know your audience.
Additionally, not everyone is already in their dream job with ambitions to become experts. Some working stiffs would rather be management, for example. More than one path should be available.
