I have been working at FriendFinder Networks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

For a smaller company FFN has excellent benefits: Kaiser, a PPO w/10% deductible, 3 weeks PTO to all new employees, 12 holidays, 5% fully vested 401K Match, anniversary bonuses, free supplemental disability insurance, public transit reimbursement. That stuff adds up! Love the location in Campbell.

    Cons

    No equity to offer employees,
Web dating is a cutthroat business
The content can be off-putting to some.
Working from home is only allowed in rare circumstances due to content and possible exposure of it to minors.

    FriendFinder Networks Response

Sep 22, 2016 – senior director of HR

Actually all employees start with 4 weeks PTO.

I have been working at FriendFinder Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-my job description was accurate and I actually enjoy it most of the time
    -management is reasonable
    -flex hours
-coworkers are kind, open-minded and competent. Generally helpful, too.
-if there's politics I'm kept out of it
-LGBT friendly. Nice for those of us who aren't, too, btw.

    Cons

-the porn is not my favorite, and it IS part of the job.
-working from home rarely and by exception
    -commute
-sick time and vacation time from the same pool. If you get bronchitis, you lose vacation.

    Advice to Management

    -revise vacation/sick time policy.
-allow employees to work from home one day or even half a day a week, as long as we don't have meetings. Or even on designated spare-the-air days. Or on condition that we work half our normal commute time extra.

    Advice to Management

A clearer idea of company goals needs to be communicated better. More time off needs to be given to be competitive

    Pros

At FriendFinder, there are lots of opportunities to grow. Once in the company, people can move from one department to another to acquire new skills or improve on existing skills. Its easy to move around once you get your foot in the door.

The people here are cool, very knowledgeable and helpful. Managers are easy to talk to and want their employees to grow and improve.

We get catered lunches Monday - Thursday, and go out for monthly team lunches .

    Cons

Still a young company going through the pains of growing up (e.g. some of the negative remarks about management in previous reviews). However, things are much better now than they were a few years ago. More processes are in place and are continually changing for the better.
