I have been working at Friends University part-time

    Pros

Nice people, work with your schedule, not micro-managed, treat you like an adult, very organized!

    Cons

The only con is that the Adjunct pay never increases. It stays at a fixed rate. Only con I noticed. Everything else was great!

    Advice to Management

Doing a great job! Think adjunct pay increase should be a consideration, at the least.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Friends University part-time

    Pros

As an adjunct teacher you are treated well and given the chance to develop your teaching skills. The students and staff are show respect and are easy to work with. Overall it's a great collegiate environment.

    Cons

Don't let yourself be led on by the prospect of anything else that you are hired on to do. You may be given the same class load a tenured professor, but your adjunct status will not turn into anything else.

    Advice to Management

Be truthful with adjunct hires. Young teachers with young families are hopeful and somewhat gullible. Don't take advantage the situation.

I have been working at Friends University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The base pay is fairly competitive for my position and the people I work with are great.

    Cons

The job description for my position was not entirely what I expected. I'm seeking out deeper fulfillment in the work and the campus environment.
