Pros
Friendship offers great salaries and professional developments. The school system has things in place to help their employees that may be having difficulties in their personal lives. The support of their teachers allow teachers to focus on developing the minds of their students.
Cons
The only con I can think of is that they have a long school day.

Pros
Decent professional developments for employees.
Cons
Friendship Public Charter Schools are only out for the money. They look at the students ESPECIALLY SPED students as dollar bills. Most of the campuses do not have the proper resources to deal with students with extreme challenging behavioral issues i.e. emotionally disturb students, homeless students or students dealing with incarcerated parents. There are never enough school psychologists or counselors on these campuses which begs the question, why do you continue to build schools in impoverished urban neighborhoods, claiming to make a difference but do not have the proper resources to address the issues that come with the poor??? Teachers are constantly burnt out working for Friendship. It is a revolving door of new teachers and other staff members that eventually recognize Friendship for what they truly are and that is a hustle to make as much money off these innocent unsuspecting kids. It is very hard to have a student suspended let alone be expelled no matter what offense had occurred. Not a believer of suspension myself but there has to be line drawn somewhere and established so that students and parents know that there will be an ultimate consequence for EXTREME intolerable behavior. Friendship thinks otherwise so you end up with stressed out teachers ready to bail out at any given opportunity. The "In Crowd" and who you know is definitely in full effect in Friendship as well. Too many instances of certain people with certain top positions within Friendship do not know how to do there job BUT whats even worse, they clearly show that don't really care for those kids at these campuses. Only time they care is when its a photo op. If you are desperate need of a job and you have a possibility to work for Friendship, then sure do what you have to do but TRUST don't plan to stay there for the long haul. There are too many other charters that will provide a better much stable environment than Friendship. Yes, these are words from a former bitter employee of that HELLHOLE. LMBAO!!!!!!

Pros
There were a lot of supportive teachers who helped. They did have many professional development activities.
Cons
The kids were awfully behaved and there was no plan in place to deal with their behaviors- cursing, throwing things, not doing work, sleeping, etc. This is a place that wants to mimic private schools, but unless the behaviors of the students change, it will be for naught. Teachers were expected to put their lesson plans on the website weekly. If you failed to do so, you were told about it in not so friendly words. If you had to deviate from the plan because you could not possibly get what was planned done, you were told that you did not know how to plan well. There were supposed to be security guards on all floors of the school at all times. However, many times, there was a shortage, or some other issue. I have several fights break out in my class, and no one was there to help. The policies they have for the students are very difficult to enforce- I spent many days getting cursed out because I asked a student to tuck n a shirt, or put on their tie. Kids were supposed to have their cell phones confiscated if they were used in class, but instead I got cursed out for it and the kids refused to give up their phones. The next step was security, but they were not there many times.
