I worked at Frisbie Memorial Hospital full-time

    Pros

The associates are very nice. HR people are very helpful. Workload varies from day to day, keeps from getting repetitive.

    Cons

Management for pharmacy is very condescending. If you do something wrong, she reprimands you in front of everyone. Very high turn over due to bad management.

    Advice to Management

Talk to employees about the tension in the pharmacy. Find out how to make it a better place to work.

    Pros

Hospital benefits even if you work for an ambulatory center, opportunity to change position within hospital and their ambulatory centers, 8, 10, and 12 hour shift options many places/departments

    Cons

Management is so poor. If there are issues in the work place that you're facing you might as well forget about having a strong manager to assist you. Many of the mangers there are actually the problem. No standards in the process of hiring managers since likely your manager will not have a degree in management or even a degree at all...Makes for a very unprofessional and unpleasant work environment since overpowering staff rule the roost and drive good staff out. I worked at 2 of Frisbie's locations with identical outcomes. I left the organization and realized how messed up it had been there now that I have a strong manager and a healthy work environment.

    Advice to Management

Ensure your managers have proper training. If an employee reaches out for patient safety issues, workplace conduct, or any other concerns address them professionally. Don't let employees that consistently demonstrate poor performance advance their careers.
