I love my job! 4 years in review
Jan 26, 2023 - Flight Attendant in Philadelphia, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I’ve been a FA for frontier for 4 years now. I always have great things to say about my job. It allows me so much schedule flexibility. At my seniority I have any day off I want, with a minimum of 15 days! I work with some really great crews. I love my San Juan layovers! This job is the easiest job I’ve ever had. It’s all about perspective, it allows me to live in base, work as many hours as I want and enjoy the rest of my life at home with way more days off then my friends and family get! If I want to work a ton over the winter so I can take it easy in the summer and go on vacations I can absolutely make that happen. I can’t imagine leaving because I would never get this same easy lifestyle that I have right now. Also the international flight benefits are great. I’ve non rev’d to Germany, Hawaii and Iceland since I’ve started working here. I love the freedom that I have working here, I feel like I manage myself most days. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt, everyone thinks the grass is greener on the other side but it’s all just grass. My work life has been the best it’s ever been.
Cons
Management can be frustrating Need to hire more people in departments like crew scheduling and dependability I’d like to see a better contract next year Some months can be rough if there are lots of delays Once and a while you get a lazy coworker

Mar 28, 2023 - Flight Attendant in Las Vegas, NVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Travel benefits THATS IT THATS ALL.
Cons
Management is always changing. This is a business not a airline, the value is nonexistent. No one ever knows what’s going on. We find out company changes via social media. CEO doesn’t value his flight crew, he puts MORE value in the 3rd parties companies that assist! Gate agent flight crew disconnects. There is no UNITY at this company! They have a lot of ISSUES in PAY ROLL 🧐 They are sending out unsafe flight attendants from train to meet a body quota! Have not seen quality FAs come out of training since spring 2020 Hotel layover issues shuttle to layover issues! The company will never be at fault for any of this is the mainstream mentality through out most departments!

Pros
Travel and that is all.
Cons
Terrible morale, overworked, under compensated, incompetence of new employees, disconnect between gate agents and flight crew, mistreated crew, abused crew, stranded crews, no follow-up with management, constantly overturning management, hiring for quantity, not quality, cranking out new hires who cannot perform required duties.

Travel around the globe
Mar 23, 2023 - Flight Attendant in Denver, CORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It is a great company to start and acquire experience if it's your first time being a flight attendant. Also, it's good if you just want to retire.
Cons
The majority of the flights are inside the U.S. and the Caribbean. If you want to travel to Europe or other countries, this is NOT the company for you.

Why you shouldn't work for Frontier?
Mar 28, 2023 - Flight AttendantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Flight benefits, health benefits, experience
Cons
Company doesn't care about its employees, low salary, never have supplies for what we need for our jobs
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Great coworkers Flexibility (base specific) Benefits (worse than legacy)
Cons
Pay (lower than industry standard) Duty days are too long Layovers are the same handful of cities at an airport hotel. The same flying, over and over again. Plane configurations are disastrous for crew and passengers. Nickel and dimed for everything, including being charged to use our flight benefits. No international benefits on AA, DL, or UA.

Pros
You get travel benefits but that’s about it.
Cons
The cost of the minimum healthcare will be half of your paycheck, then add uniform deductions and taxes. No support from management and if you mess up they’ll fire you without cause because that’s what they’re allowed to do per contract for the next nine months after you’ve spent a month in unpaid training. One minute late? Fired. You are a number and a slave to corporate. Easily replaceable and that energy radiates. After they’ve relocated you and forced you to pour money into the profession, they will treat you like nothing and constantly impose new rules and regulations to make your life harder. Meanwhile, you’ll be on call for 12 hours a day with a two hour call out. Meaning if they call you, there’s a 90% chance you have 2 hours to get ready, be at the airport, probably walk a mile to the crew room and check in. They’ll entice you with a dollar raise for every year you put up with their nonsense when most people average about $1700 a MONTH because it is nearly impossible to pick up shifts due to the layout.
