I have been working at Frontier Communications full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They allow a good deal of autonomy, and expect you to act like a responsible adult...... if you can do this, then you will have a good work experience ....... in not, then there will be stress

    Cons

Management is still struggling to get a handle on the business

I worked at Frontier Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great management. Very helpful and didn't micro management. Had faith in employees to stay accountable and honest with work responsibilities.

    Cons

Very little human interaction with fellow co workers. Can be very lonely at times throughout the day with looking at only a computer.

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at Frontier Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The employees are great to work with in the Camden office. For the most part I should say. Dealing with the public on a daily basis can be quite challenging but it keeps you on your toes. Benefits wouldn't be bad if we could get rid of Obama Care.

    Cons

As far as upper management is concerned you are just a number. Working on their completely broken outdated copper is ridiculous. You can't get it replaced and you spend all your time tracing issues, getting repeats due to that issue.

    Advice to Management

Remember...If you treat your employees like they make a difference they will!

I have been working at Frontier Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people you will work with are fantastic, the coaches and leads will have your back through thick and thin. The workplace is a pleasant place with few detractors.

    Cons

There is little consistency in anything, including pay, schedule, and tools.

    Advice to Management

I would advise that there be in place more consistent scheduling, more consistent pay, and in general a more cooperative relationship with the union.

I worked at Frontier Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

decent pay if able to make a sale

    Cons

forced to sell when hired as tech, punished if quota not met. seemed that suck ups got promotions, truly skilled techs that cared about customer issues punished for taking time to help

    Advice to Management

provide customer service to gain loyal customers instead of making customers hate the product

I worked at Frontier Communications as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible working hours, low pressure environment.

    Cons

Unstable contract work, they have a lot of problems with budgeting.

    Advice to Management

Stop playing games with budgets. Don't bill to one project while working on another. Define clear goals for your employees and give them the budgets to achieve those goals.

I have been working at Frontier Communications full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great pay in comparison to most customer service positions. Great benefits for health insurance, also great options for accruing paid time off.

    Cons

The stresses of any customer service position can start to take its toll after awhile. There's not much flexibility to take a mental break from it.

    Advice to Management

Try to put yourself in our shoes sometimes, when things go wrong as a company we frontline agents take the brunt of it.

I have been working at Frontier Communications full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Attention to fixing problems with structure and systems has been on the rise since the company focus shifted out of "acquisition mode".

    Cons

Much of the senior management has little knowledge or interest in the technology and infrastructure needed to make informed business decisions that will best serve the company and its customers. Especially copper wire line territories.

    Advice to Management

    Get more engaged.....
