I worked at Fuhu full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free snacks, food and drinks

    Cons

This company was at first a wonderful place to work. I absolutely loved my direct bosses and coworkers. I quickly was promoted from CS Agent to Senior Team Lead with three other TLs under me. We had the center running like a well oiled machine. After about six months they brought back the manager that had first ran the call center to the ground. It was a joke the way he treated people and thought things should run. The president was an arrogant/Dictator, Robb Fuji, also. He had his entourage of yes men following him around constantly. He changed everything for the worst. One thing I remember was that you could never leave when your shift was done even if your work was done. I would be expected to open at 6am and then stay till 10 or 11 for a meeting. The idea was to humiliate others and scare people for their jobs if you had anything to say back. The old manager was verbally abusive and just has the worst attitude. The presidents idea of how a call center should run is chaos and people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Oh I could go on but no need they went bankrupt and closed down all offices. It's sad for those that lost their job to this dictator and his minions. Thankfully I had found myself a new and NORMAL place to work before that happened. If you see this president or CEO running another company. RUN... RUN FAR FAR AWAY... Check out their article on Inc. 500 it says it perfectly

    Advice to Management

Great job running the company to the ground. Learn to respect your employees rather than using scare tactics for people's jobs to be abusive and overly work people.

I worked at Fuhu full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

HR (Laura Pallas) was absolutely fantastic and extremely accommodating. The employees were super talented and hardworking. I made a lot of friends working here.

    Cons

$2.00 raise from $13-$15 in 8 months. The company tried very hard to tell us that we are not a call center, and overcompensated by ridiculous group exercises, hands-on meetings where everyone is forced to clap, yell, and smile all the time. Overbearing fake enthusiasm filled the cubicle air because our job title, after all, was called being a "happiness ambassador"

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your employees and not try to do so by forcing everyone to play charades. Do your best at staying away from management politics, because gossip was part of the job description at nabi cares.

I worked at Fuhu full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Awesome food, coworkers, and an onsite gym

    Cons

No time to use the onsite gym as call center employee except for lunch as it closed early/opened late. A lot of politics. Didn't seem like higher ups cared.

    I worked at Fuhu full-time

    Pros

    - free catered lunch 2x per week (this has changed i hear)
    - smart, competent coworkers
    - great managers
    - on-site gym with personal trainers

    Cons

    - dictatorship
    - upper management like to micromanage (even in departments they had no experience with)
    - unflexible hours
    - "unlimited" vacation but with almost no opportunity to actually exercise them

    Advice to Management

learn to delegate responsibilities/decisions/projects to your managers. they're much more capable than you think.

don't burn bridges just because of "imagined" personal grievances

    Pros

Decent pay, creative environment. Not terrible as an in-between job, didn't seem like a great place for longer term employment.

    Cons

Must find your own street parking, they aren't transparent about how long they will keep contractors, and 3 project managers quite in the three months I worked there.

They have catered lunches and go out to lunch, but contractors are not allowed to take part. Sometimes they expect you to leave for 3 hours while the team goes out to lunch and come back for 2 hours of the day.

Most of the full time employees would complain about how many hours they were expected to work.

    Pros

Some of the people there were really hard working at nice.

    Cons

Jason Kuo is the worst manager I have ever seen. He tries to mimic Tony Hsieh without any of the actual charisma, charm or intellect and probably has really low self esteem. Because of this, he asserts his power on his employees by verbally threatening them and making them feel just as bad about themselves as he does about himself. The worst part of it all is he fakes that smile

    Advice to Management

Fire Jason Kuo. Oops! Too late. Hes already gone!
