I have been working at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent place to get experience and learn the corporate world.

    Cons

Management is pretty awful and only looks out for themselves. They always talk about making changes or breaking down silos to make the place more encompassing, but management never EVER carries through with these changes and continues to have the same attitudes and opinions toward policies, people, and other departments. You can learn and maybe get some opportunities, but it depends on what department you work, your...

I worked at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies full-time

    Pros

Decent pay, good benefits, the new CEO could help

    Cons

Extremely cliquish, unrealistic production expectations, severely understaffed, often manage by intimidation, upper management out of touch and only cares about the bottom dollar, extreme lack of trust of middle and upper management, dishonest with clients, do not care about a work/life balance

    Advice to Management

Most of middle and senior management should retire or move on. Too far out of touch to turn it around.

I have been working at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies

    Pros

    Good 401k plan, vacation time.

    Cons

Upper management is out of touch with the people on the floor. There is total incompetence in middle and upper management. There is a lot of lying and undeliverable promises being made by middle and upper management. There are too many directors and layers of management. The company has drifted...

I have been working at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies full-time

    Pros

The pay is good and the benefits are very competitive. If you like constant change then this place is for you.

    Cons

Upper management is out of touch with what is really needed down on the floor. The hiring practices and interview technique is tired and old fashioned. There are definite hallmarks of a good ole boy network.

    Advice to Management

Really listen to what the personnel on the floor are saying and do something constructive. Don't keep forming teams consisting of mostly Directors to "fix the problem". Here's hint, you're the problem.

I have been working at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies

    Pros

The vacation and company match for 401k are very good. The opportunity to work on many different projects is the best reason to work at a CMO.

    Cons

The constant changing of the ownership has caused so much chaos that upper management doesn't seem to know which way it's going. One week we're told this, then the next we do an about face. The level of communication is horrendous and the employees have very little confidence in the decisions made my the leadership.

    Advice to Management

Actually go and listen to the employees. They are telling you what they need and all you do is ignore them and give them what you've already decided they need.
