    Pros

Simple business model-buy companies to grow but fail miserably at growing core business profitably

    Cons

Extremely poor management team with no management skills.on a stand alone basis company would be bankrupt. Need to displace senior management to support change

    Advice to Management

Sell to Ciena or find compelling partners who can manage business better

Ever seen the movie Office Space? Want to work at that company? You found your place. FNC is dying old company that is being held up by its parent company in Japan. There is no advancement here but it is a good place if you just need a job as it pays decent

    Pros

Small company in the States - a job!

    Cons

    - Worked long enough to find the company to have limited vision and products.

    Advice to Management

    - inicest in R&D Locally.
    - increase the customer base by adding new customers or new products.
    - there are limited number of telecom and cable operators, build products that fit them all.
    - Treat people as valuable assets, not replaceable commodity.

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Some friendly staff
    - Great PTO and time off
    - Nice cafeteria and gym

    Cons

    - New ideas get shot down, even when they promote their cultural changes
    - Staff gets laid off frequently, even if they claim it's "performance based" (these can also include new graduates)
    - Cannot retain younger generations
    - Expect two jobs to be done by one person
    - No real direction with where the company is going

    Advice to Management

Even though they are promoting cultural change, I have yet to see much change with how issues are handled. New management needs to be brought in, rather than laying off people who cannot reach outlandish demands of the company.

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Balance work place. Not overly demanding of employees. Base Salary levels are good.

    Cons

Stopped investing into development of new products for the past 4 years. Harvesting existing products and customers, No real vision on where to take the company. Senior Management is frighten of failure and unwilling to make strategic moves. Expect company value to continue eroding. CEO and COO spending great deal of time telling employees about their culture of change, should spend more of their time on truly implementing change. Sr Executive team inexperienced, mostly former sales professionals.
