I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Account specific management is great and in tune with the needs of the employees that support the account. In the past 6 months there has been an active attempt to breathe fresh perspective into the larger account teams with very intelligent and good leaders.

Given the recent mass exodus there are a lot of roles available for those who want a challenge. This could be a huge opportunity for someone who wants to get involved in the renaissance of a company under new leadership.

    Cons

Pay is below area averages, raises are significantly below inflation and industry averages, there is not a great amount of effort or time put into goals and performance management.

There is little to no opportunity for training or conferences in the budgets. Management continues to demand employees seek certifications and training but on their own dollar and time.

Senior management refuses to be customer facing unless absolutely forced to and allows the mid-managers to get beaten up on by the client only to deliver the news to deaf ears. They also have not taken client concerns seriously until it has reached the boiling point and there are serious issues noted. Again, this is the corporate management and not the account team management.

    Advice to Management

Reconnect with the employees doing the work and get in front of customers. Do not make employees threaten to leave in order to recognize them and reward them for the hard work they have done in the form of raises, promotions, and recognition.

The idea of not being "customer facing" cannot be the ridiculous view of corporate senior management when you are doing outsourcing of IT functions.

I worked at Fujitsu (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible work options, many WFH or remotely (even in non-Fujitsu cities).
    Still some dedicated teams
Possible to move up quickly due to high turnover

    Cons

Management is very uneven (some stars, many duds)
    Sales pipeline is weak
Overall strategy is probably flawed (taking on outsourced datacenters and IT depts)
HR is terrible (to be fair, company doesn't invest in HR)
General malaise--company doesn't appear to invest in anything or anyone, this causes:
Lack of engagement--so some teams/people are impossible to work with

    Advice to Management

Current strategy of barely putting in enough money to keep things running is not working. Need to treat this like a startup, reboot, and lose money for a couple of quarters to invest in employees, sales channels, infrastructure (like HR). Otherwise, you're going to keep bleeding talent and find it harder and harder to execute.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time

    Pros

Decent salary and work life balance - if your team is staffed properly. Some really dedicated people.

    Cons

Outsourcing US IT and most computer operations. This is not a place to seek out a long term career if your a technology worker.

    Advice to Management

Learn to communicate. Look at developing business rather than meeting a budget number. Lack of vision results in layoffs and outsourced jobs.

I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fujitsu offers clear structure and process, very detailed and deep. They have top top talent, they get the job done. They are a top tier business.

    Cons

At times inflexible; heads-down culture (vs. creative and dynamic).

    Advice to Management

Look for hidden values in participative processes; the line level should be a source of solution and opportunity.
