I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for career growth and the people there are GREAT! This is a GREAT place to work.

    Cons

so many processes and bureaucracy. Doing an expense report takes FOREVER. For a technology company, they do not empower their employees with great technology.....

    Advice to Management

Build a system to support 1)Mastery 2)Autonomy 3)Purpose. We have OLD technology internally and look silly trying to sell cutting age next generation software, hardware and services when we have OLD clunky laptops, our network is slower than Christmas and we use a way of connecting to a VPN that was established in the 90's. Get with the program! invest in the company making systems more efficient. I spend more time on expense reports than it is worth.... this should be simple.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Certain managers are very supportive of their employees

    Cons

Constant layoffs every year for several years. Advancement is possible but they will never bring you up to market salary even if you are paid 25k less than others in your position. Company implements policies that employees then ignore to the financial detriment of the company.Very high turn over of upper management and executives.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Decent paycheck
Gym and cafeteria are on site at FNC in Richardson
Nice HQ in easy to access location in metroplex

    Cons

Aging middle management has ruined this company
All the older management don't care or try to be inventive.
This mindset runs off all the young talent because they are huge roadblocks.
They are now combining companies across the US to try and do cost savings, retirement offers have gone out to people.
FAI has been an utter failure for the last ten years yet they are keeping it alive.
They are starting to think all of IT can now suddenly be sent to the cloud and be supported by India, they couldn't be more wrong.
It's a cluster mess, unless you need at job stay away.

    Advice to Management

Where to begin? Your slow Japanese thinking and processes along with refusing to take risks and clean up the bad seeds has just destroyed your American market share and profits. Unfortunately nothing I type here will reverse this course you set out on 8-10 years ago. Good luck to everyone who will be impacted by this.

I have been working at Fujitsu as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

-Good people / team, including Team Leads
    - Decent starting wage
They attempt to keep employees on board if something happens with their current positions, but this does not seem to often be a lateral move (usually into a lower position)
-Attempts at recognition of employees for jobs well done.

    Cons

-No desire to hire anyone permanent
-No annual reviews or opportunities for raises
-I have been here around 2.5 years and have not seen anyone get promoted. I've seen a LOT of people moved from higher positions to lower ones, though.
-No benefits or insurance as they keep people contract for as long as possible. I know people who have been here 4 years or longer and are still not permanent.

    Advice to Management

Recognition and appreciation of employees in any form is nice. But if you truly appreciate your employees, give them a raise. Not a Fujitsu keychain.

    Pros

    Cons

Marketing team is not good, so not able to get new Projects. We will be stuck in same Project for ever, no career growth.

    Advice to Management

Need to be dynamic. The Management is happy keep doing what they are doing, no real change in approach. They have to change that approach and reward employees who are contributing to Company's growth.
