I worked at Fujitsu (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with and the pay is very competitive in the the market. Empowered to go make deals and win business. Benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

Upper management is weak and consistently trying to re-ivinte the company. Somewhat silo-ed organizations. New products slow to roll out and be accepted. Career advancement is limited to senior staff.

    Advice to Management

Pick a course for the company and stay with it for a few years. Get subject matter experts more involved in the companies strategies. Take a hard look at middle to upper management and makes some hard changes.

    Pros

Lots of lateral moves. Good place for entry level people to learn technical and political skills.

    Cons

No advancement, very little pay increase and little regard for work life balance. That was my experience.

    Advice to Management

Too many yes men on the payroll, perhaps?

I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The FNC Leadership team centrally located in Richardson, TX which made it less of a challenge to present, discuss, or escalate issues / concerns.

    Cons

Way too many political agendas for the size of the company. They preach that people are their primary concern and interest, but the actions do not support their words. They are a manufacturing company first and do not want to invest in the necessary skills to become a top Services / Solutions company. There is minimal to zero employee development.

    Advice to Management

You continue to hire bright young minds... please allow them to show you what they can accomplish their way, not your proven methodologies from 10 years ago.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good Pay, Good benefits, steady work

    Cons

Was a great place to work. The environment is now hostile. It has caused a large turnover in personnel at all levels. Experienced Field Engineers are leaving and new Field Engineers last less than an year before leaving.

    Advice to Management

Field Engineers are not factory workers, you cannot successfully micromanage remote Field Engineers.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent Pay, good 401k plan, reasonable holiday hours

    Cons

only selected group of managers who’ve spent their entire life working in this company acts as a block against any attempt to bring innovation to the organization. Newcomers at any level are viewed with suspicion and any idea they bring with them from the outside is treated with a mixture of fear and contempt. I was accused of providing wrong data based on their own manual but because of the relationship with the big manager and old people who screwed up the manual and commutations processes, there was extra work to prevent mysef from getting fired. In the end, they all realized they were incorrect but came up with some lame excuse. I dont expect an apology from big bosses but really? I wish all the big manager would have behaved in a professional manner, not personal. Just because you like someone does not mean everything they do is right.

    Advice to Management

The CEO needs to seriously look into this culture , and replaces MANY old guard with new, professional management if this company is to succeed in the long run.

    Pros

Friendly co-workers. There are many processes that you can learn.

    Cons

Fujitsu America outsourced the IT team in Sunnyvale to offshore. The entire IT team was laid off in one day. The technologies are old as there is no budget to keep up with the upgrades.

    Advice to Management

send employees for training that are relevant to their work.
