Pros

Nice Campus Easy to get to Cafe on campus Gym on campus People are some what friendly New culture is working hard to try and change minds

Cons

All decision making comes from japan so things are slow going Development cycles are long and tedious To much work gets sent to India Our work/code over the years needs to be repaired, not as sleek as it use to be Older work force does not want to change or accept the new methods, they become giant roadblocks A lot of the older managers do not understand what is going on around them Since the company is so flat there is no where to go

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We’re working to expand our reach to past, present and future employees through active engagement in social platforms like Glassdoor. Reviewers may notice that we’re now listed as an “OpenCompany” on Glassdoor, which means we are actively working to be more transparent through sharing employee reviews, company information, pictures, and more. Internally, employees are invited every quarter to attend an all-company Town Hall meeting to learn about business activities from the previous quarter and expected upcoming activities. If you don’t already join these meetings, please do! We encourage all employees to attend and ask questions during the one-hour question and answer session with executive leadership. We’re excited about the future of FNC and look forward to our continued partnership with employees like you.

Sick corporate culture

Pros

The technical level (technicians, engineers) are good and their excellent reputation is the only thing that keeps this company from collapsing

Cons

This company’s corporate culture is slowly destroying it from within. An entrenched group of managers who’ve spent their entire working life in this company acts as a block against any attempt to bring change to the organization. Newcomers at any level are viewed with suspicion and any idea they bring with them from the outside is treated with a mixture of fear and contempt. The old guard and their cronies treat everyone who is not one of them with disrespect. True, in many companies the boss would yell at you, too, but at Fujitsu they’d yell at you in front of other people, even your own reports. In other companies someone might send you a nasty email, too, but at Fujitsu they’ll make sure to CC as many people as they can to show how powerful they are. This unprofessional behavior demotivates and demoralizes people at all levels of the organization. This is a very unpleasant environment to work at, where senior management’s idea of leadership is throwing a tantrum every time a goal is not reached or a sale falls through, without ever professionally analyzing what is the cause for this; without even listening to either their reports or the clients. There is an unofficial hierarchy among the old guard where they report “offenders” to each other so if you rub one of them the wrong way, even if that person is not in your department, they’ll find a way to get your boss to give you a hard time. If you are a self-respecting professional, your place is not there.

Pros

Pay was good. I was virtual, so I was flying all over the country, racking up frequent flyer miles and hotel points.

Cons

The bottom line is, the people there don't have a clue in how to run a business. I had zero support from my management. FC purchased Rapidigm, where I worked. I scheduled a 3 day weekend to take a short trip with my family. I made sure all my duties were being handled by a superior to me. Over the weekend, disaster struck and my boss told me it was all my fault. I explained that I had turned everything over to a fellow worked, who was senior to me. Turns out this guy lied and told my boss I hadn't turned over anything! I tried to explain to my boss that the superior had lied, but I wasn't believed and my boss didn't care. The next month the practice had a national meeting, and while my name wasn't mentioned, my boss used "MY" screwup as how the company was losing business, and how we can't have idiots working for us! I went to him afterwards in private, and asked him what exactly should I have done different? He said "Just do your f**ing job!" I told him I thought I was, but I could use some constructive feedback and guidance. He said I should know how to do my job, and he then walked away. This was all during the absorbtion of Rapidigm into Fujitsu Consulting. After this particular trip, I was then demoted, and then a few months later, laid off.
