I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent pension package, reasonable amount of annual leave, offer schemes such Cycle to Work

    Cons

Limited amount of training on offer, it was almost impossible to find a decent role after our existing contract was absorbed by teams in the north of England (who could do the work for less), little communication between teams, little development potential

    Advice to Management

Invest more in training your staff to get the most out of them and offer more incentives so as to retain them.

I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, large projects offer a wide range of opportunity

    Cons

Mired in process, monolithic to act and unable to quickly respond to more agile competition. Very easy for any individual no matter how successful to become lost in the system.

There are also a large number of "lifers" who've been with the company for a thousand years and bring that culture of sedentary with them.

    Advice to Management

Spend less time on "initiatives" and more time recognizing staff.

I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some really smart people, great delivery org, good pay (although is to make up for no stock)

    Cons

Very slow, Japanese culture prevents pace and/or change, part of the past, not the future? Portfolio outdated, uncompetitive cost base, too risk averse.

    Advice to Management

With EMEIA being created, everyone hoped it would allow the region to transform and be fit for for the 21st century. Unfortunately the change is too cumbersome and bureaucratic. The portfolio is hugely outdated - lots of new senior joiners on BIG packages talking a good game but very little actually getting done.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Fujitsu full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Salary
    Benefits
I was fortunate to work with some really good people, most of which left the company during my time there

    Cons

My Line manager was clueless, indifferent to one's concerns and issues and only got the job as he is a Yes man and unlikely to challenge his superiors in any way
Work life balance promoted but not adhered to
Bullying to join projects where the required skills were beyond my experience and comfort zone and threatened with disciplinary if I said no
Blame culture when things go wrong
Appraisal process was a complete joke and always marked down my management
    Little or no bonuses
    Jobs for the boys culture
    Poor programme management
    Win at any cost mindset
Too much politics between the project and delivery teams
    Too much emphasis on process
    Mandated use of Skype
    No promotion
    No career progression
Told to work weekends rather than asked
    Poor pipeline of work
Too much reliance on the public sector
Failure to properly target and win business in the Cloud market

    Advice to Management

Sort your company out and start treating your people with respect and reward them accordingly. They are your best asset but they are too often taken for granted and abused. Get rid of the dinosaurs and inject some new blood into company.

I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to progress if willing to be mobile, ability to move into different careers without too many blockers. Pay at least as well as the rest of the market if not better.

    Cons

Fujitsu has more opportunities within the South and unless wiling to travel this can be quite limiting to those that want to work close to home
