I have been working at Fulton Bank Of New Jersey full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Closed most Holidays. Loyal customers.

    Cons

You are just a number. Fulton Bank does not care about their employees. Everyone is replaceable. They want you to be loyal employees but couldn't care less about their employees.

    Advice to Management

Trust the little people working in the branches.
They know what works and what doesn't work. Decide what type of bank you want to be. You can't expect customer loyalty relationships if you want to push customers out with self service technology.

    Pros

benefits cover the basics like medical, dental, vision.

    Cons

Senior, mid-level, line management have no clue how to run a company. Under a Federal Reserve watch for compliance issues and under investigation by Treasury Department for discriminatory lending practices. They are preparing to sell this company. Already told retail layoffs coming in October.

    Advice to Management

Stop talking to so called expert consultants and actually talk to your people, not a survey, actually TALK to them.

I worked at Fulton Bank Of New Jersey full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay to start, the friends you make working there are forever. Great job for someone in college, or right out of high school. Great for networking.

    Cons

Sales, management doesn't give any recognition for a job well done, low opportunity for advancement, raises based on sales. The company would rather hire outside the company and have people who wanted the job train the new person.

    Advice to Management

Don't focus so much on reaching your sales goals, try to keep moral of workers (specifically tellers, they do all the dirty work) up. Show them you care about the jobs they do.

I worked at Fulton Bank Of New Jersey part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay right off the back and good with taking off.

    Cons

They didn't car about doing your actual part of being teller, as in the transactions. It was all about selling and making the customers get credit cards or home loans. We as tellers were doing the people off to the side's job.

    Advice to Management

Stop making it all about selling products to the people and focus on us making the transactions and having good relations with the customers. I dreaded going into work knowing that I had to ask people, who I probably asked the day before if they wanted to sign up for a credit card.

I worked at Fulton Bank Of New Jersey part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management was very helpful with learning and adapting to constant change. Was a valuable company to start at if looking to get your foot into the financial industry.

    Cons

As a part-timer, the company was not very flexible with college. Would have rated the company 5 starts if they were slightly more accommodating.

    Advice to Management

Management was very helpful. Hopefully, they continue to provide a helpful and encouraging work environment for future employees. I wouldn't mind working for the company again some day.

    Cons

Not a community bank anymore, its not about the customer anymore its only about the goals
