I worked at Fund for the Public Interest full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good mission. Some opportunities for advancement/re-location around the country. Lots of vacation time.

    Cons

VERY LOW PAY. Pay increases very small. No compensation for hours over 40, which was often.

    Advice to Management

Pay more or at least factor in cost of living in other places besides NY/CA.

    Advice to Management

If you want to brand yourself as a progressive and benevolent organization, you should probably pay your employees a living wage.
