Funny place to work given the business

    Cons

    Expensive location to operate from.

I have been working at Funny Or Die full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, Unlimited time off, fun events thru the year, great location, cool projects, wellness reimbursement is a nice perk.

    Cons

Pay isn't great, it's the first place I've ever worked that didn't cover health insurance 100%. Work is 24/7 but no one seems to acknowledge that.

  3. "Fun place to work but no opportunities for growth"

I worked at Funny Or Die full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Funny or Die was a very fun company to work at, with fun topics, events and celebrity sightings.

    Cons

No opportunities for growth and salaries overall were on the lower scale for a media/tech co.

    Advice to Management

Bring the fun, collaborative culture back and stop just thinking about the bottom line (dollar). Any successful co is so because of it's employees - you need to recruit, foster and maintain great talent.

I worked at Funny Or Die full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the staff are great, projects are interesting

    Cons

upper management is so disconnected from the staff, all of the cool stuff has been taken away from everyone, raises are few and far between, bonuses are small, a culture of fear and retaliation has set in

    Advice to Management

bring back the cool stuff and stop asking employees to pay for health insurance

I worked at Funny Or Die full-time

    Pros

    Interesting and cool projects
Iconic movie props and celebrities in office

    Cons

    Production team manages through abuse
No expenses covered (must sacrifice your own car and gas)
Culture of throwing others under the bus

    Advice to Management

Really think about who is managing production and their current mental state. My former boss would randomly come in and throw all my items off my desk while screaming at me for no reason.
