I have been working at Funny Or Die full-time

    Pros

FOD is full of a bunch of great people all working to change the world with comedy. Employees here are hungry, passionate, and need that go-getter spirit to stay afloat in a Hollywood/Startup fusion of a company like Funny Or Die.

Executives encourage creativity, spontaneity, and risk taking. I can honestly say I like everyone I work with as a person and the work environment breeds having your coworkers be your friends. Our company retreat was insanely fun and filled with electricity, motivation, and inspiration.

FOD had a new CEO take over mid this year and he turned a struggling company into a thriving company where people are excited for its future in a matter of months. He made the hard decisions that needed to be made that will pay off in the upcoming years. He truly has a vision for Funny Or Die and will not take failure for an answer. He promotes diversity and creativity which I love.

    Cons

Need to improve hierarchy structure and figuring out who reports to who, but it seems like they're working on it.

I worked at Funny Or Die full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with creative, funny people, getting a first hand look at production. Environment is very relaxed and provides flexibility. You have the freedom to explore different departments and positions if it's of interest.

    Cons

The downside to working at FOD is that there's little to no room for growth, the pay is terrible and they aren't loyal to dedicated or long time employees.

I worked at Funny Or Die full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Funny Or Die has a great brand that people know and love. Is a great place to do things that reach a lot of people.

    Cons

The company is collapsing. Everyone who really knew what they were doing left the company, especially the managers. The new CEO is in over his head and seems unqualified. Was a great place to work for 5 years, now it's just sad.

    Advice to Management

You guys should consider another change at the top. 3 CEOS in 12 months is a lot, but you probably need one more change before the whole thing sinks.

I worked at Funny Or Die full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Reputable content creator with a great history and strong roots in the industry. Good production teams.

    Cons

The facade is strong with this one... the entire company is extremely cliquey and does not treat newcomers or new ideas with open arms. The brand is on the decline and the new CEO has no idea what he's doing (simply trying to sell the company).

    Advice to Management

Be open to new ideas and stop hiring/promoting from within - it's just an endless cycle...
