I worked at Futures (CT) part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love the environment and staff. The way the school sets the kids up to work and get paid minimum wage. I love the diversity within this community.

    Cons

No benefits for Pt people whatsoever. Once the kids have their winter break and spring break you don't get paid. There is no 401-k nor do you get paid for snow days. Also you don't accumulate sick time.

    Advice to Management

Give Pt people benefits please and work on the insurance coverage. I don't understand why I would have to raise my personal limits when I'm driving a company vehicle.

I worked at Futures (CT) part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a decent hourly wage.

    Cons

A lot of negatives: staff is never expected to take time off and is reprimanded for doing so; days and hours change weekly; staff is expected to work without breaks of any kind for 6 hour shifts; staff is expected to drive clients in their own car with very little compensation for gas; management is not receptive to input from staff; management gives no praise or support; training is minimal; work environment is bleak.

    Advice to Management

    Treat staff with respect.

    Pros

Nice staff, nice families, nice kids. The pay is decent if you have degrees & certifications. Given plenty of work & flexibility.

    Cons

Waiting until after New Years for student lists. Paperwork :(

    Advice to Management

Less paperwork & possibly paying us weekly? Times are tough.
