    I worked at G.H. Bass & Co. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pro I had with the company was the rest of my team members. Their was nothing else offered, given. Oh you do recieve 30% discount as a employee.

    Cons

Bad upper management. No room for growth. Their currently closing stores so ppl are losing jobs. My one year raise sucked, my location was high in theft which your expected to figure out solution to. Under appreciated, if your not a SM you mean nothing to the big bosses. Constant change in promotion, floor sets are conducted almost every single month with minimum payroll provided.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your people. Speak for the ones who come in everyday to to a great job. Give opportunity instead of under valuing the talent you have in front of you.

    I worked at G.H. Bass & Co. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company is going through a lot of changes for the better. New owners in last two years and they listen to their employees feedback. Great product. Good employee discount. Fun environment. Upper management is very involved and supportive. Make weekends and holidays fun with contests and competitions.

    Cons

Basic retail complaints. Must be available nights weekends and holidays. I just couldn't do the commute anymore and decided to go back to school.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing. Keep trying new things. Keep reaching out to teams in stores. Thanks for the opportunity.

    I worked at G.H. Bass & Co. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Your team if you are lucky to have a manager that cares for their employees. Some cute shoes the clothing is sometimes ok if you can fit it but it's all over priced.

    Cons

You're never good enough. Corporate doesn't care how hard you're working if you meet your goals it's NEVER good enough. They push you and push you but they give nothing in return. They take and they take some more. You will work single coverage shifts and be expected to "not task" but get 50 or boxes of freight a day and be expected to get 20 boxes done in an hour all by yourself while selling and focusing only on the customer. You will also do all of the recovering you can do by yourself all while they are emailing you "NO TASKING". But how else do you fill your floors to have product to sell to customers and keep your back room clear enough to walk through with all the shipment you receive daily? You can't. You also get an great discount of 30% off (recently lowered from 40%) that also PVH employees which aren't even part of your company ALONG with customers getting 30% off coupons regularly as well. Their product falls apart and the sizes are WAY off. They expect you to wear all current season product but give you no allowance like other brands. They don't pay for advertising they want you to use your own social media to advertise for them. It's a stockholder owned company. They don't have standards. Take your talents elsewhere if you have any self respect at all. I'm not disgruntled I loved the people I worked with but had no respect for corporate.

    Advice to Management

Stop slave working your retail management. You have to spend money to make money. Stop over ordering cheap product that you can't get off your shelves and invest in quality merchandise that is worth the price you are expecting a customer to pay. Adjust your sizes because the clothing is WAY off. Stop cheating your employees and calling it a discount especially if you expect them to wear your product.

    Pros

Friendly management, okay discounts, cute products.

    Cons

Pay isn't worth it, no place to progress. Makes staff wear only G.H clothing but doesn't provide essential items for on shift. You use your paycheck to buy their clothes.

    Pros

Hires young employees and has loyal and kind management. It's not difficult to get a job here but you can't live on what you make by any means. This is more of a second or third job.

    Cons

Mainly do busy work all day like passing out flyers to customers that you have to pick up later off the ground.
