    Pros

    Great company to work for! They promote from within. Good support. G&K is growing at all levels and the CEO is well respected! Good pay and benefits.

    Cons

    A lot of changes always happening all the time from local levels to corporate level. Not necessarily a con.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your employees happy! Recognize improvements and let your employees and co-workers know you appreciate them at all levels.

    Smaller company with lots of room to grow

    Cons

    Very lean in terms of employees and capital.
    Acquisition by Cintas has left company in limbo

    Advice to Management

    Be more transparent with employees surrounding acquisition.

    Pros

    Career path oriented company that embraces employee development. I've worked with several managers who have experience in multiple roles within the organization. The knowledge of these managers passed on to me has helped me grow as an employee and helped shape my career at G&K Services.

    Cons

    Not enough focus on new/additional product and service offerings. We have a fairly limited core group of rental items that does not seem to change with the industry from year to year.

    Advice to Management

    Evaluate additional product and service offerings to add revenue streams. Perhaps a focus on offering commercial chemicals to our existing customers that could be serviced by the same Route Service Representatives that handle their uniforms and other rental product items would be a sensible additional service to offer. Investigate ways to include sales and service on inner company promotions. Though the resulting sales do benefit both sales and service, there is not much done to recognize this aspect of a promotion.

    Pros

    Las Vegas Office was an incrediable place to work. Great culture, great work environment, great place to make lots of money with amazing support and a very sales friendly GM - Felt like a big family!

    Cons

    Hard industry but if you have the support from management and service you will succeed!

    Sad to see G&K go.

    I have been working at G&K Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very fair compensation, minimal oversight, plenty of flexibility and great work/life balance. The wide variety of market segments that need this service makes for interesting days. The sales process is long so management isn't strict on hitting precise quotas.

    Cons

    Can be discouraging as most prospects are stuck in a long-term agreement with a competitor. Many decisions are made at the customer's corporate level, so local accounts can't be sold to. Again, a long sales process invites opportunity for current provider to secure account from switching.

    Advice to Management

    I appreciate the management here. Keep supporting the sales and service team. Ensure new customers are keyed correctly as things can really turn nasty off the bat if not.
