    I worked at G & W Electric Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Was well compensated and given quarterly bonuses every 3 months.

    Cons

    Only downside working at G&W was that when we had to wait on parts from other departments in the plant, every employee in my department was told to tape the floors with color coded tape.

    I worked at G & W Electric Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Friendly working environment.
    * Good visions from management
    * Team work, team member helps each other.
    * Get things done
    * A lot of challenges
    * Nice executives and management
    * Take employees' suggestions
    * Care the environment and employee

    Cons

    * Limited promotion opportunities. But this is normal for most companies, especially for this size of company.

    Advice to Management

    N/A. The nicest CEO i have ever met. And also many VP/managers are super nice to employees.

    I have been working at G & W Electric Company full-time

    Pros

    Endless things to do, never sitting idle. Quarterly bonuses are excellent, 401k matching is optimal, and the people that you meet and work with are all unique in their own ways.

    Cons

    Management needs to improve and more employees need to be hired for the massive backlog of orders going through the company. The company has grown beyond it's original facility and to this date is still growing. Lack of experienced seniors in the company makes it hard for the new hires to adapt to the company's culture. Occasionally you are required to cross-function other department's roles without notice.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your Design Engineers free from distraction of other departments so they can release quality designs for both customer and error free manufacturing.

    I have been working at G & W Electric Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    G&W does a really good job of appreciating their employees and making them feel like they're part of a world-class organization dedicated to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. The pay is all right, but the benefits are where it's at. I've never had anything comparable.

    Cons

    Some of the workers have incredibly jaded, negative attitudes. Lots of gossip. The worst part is some of the team leads are astonishingly rude and condescending, and make you feel like nothing you ever do is right, even if you exceed expectations and integrate yourself in the company's ecosystem.

    Advice to Management

    Please exercise greater scrutiny when it comes to lower management. Some of the people "in charge" would never hold their positions anywhere else, and are not worthy of the respect they demand. You have very good workers on the floor, but so many of them feel mistreated by their immediate superiors that the turnover rate will only grow higher, and you'll lose some very quality employees that could have done more for your company.
