    Pros

A few flight benefits here and there but you'll be better off applying to an actual airline. Overtime always available.

    Cons

Very low pay. I don't know how people are supposed to live. Supervisors not the easiest to work under.

    Advice to Management

    Increase pay. Better leadership.

I have been working at G2 Secure Staff part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great experience for a part time job. If you make friends with the airline workers, you can end up with a nice job; in fact, that's how a lot of people end up leaving the company. It's great for an entry level airport job, MUCH better than working in a shop. There are some really sweet passengers who are generous and kind. Some frequent flyers build friendships with the G2 staff. This job is great for some extra cash or as a student job. They tend to be able to work with odd schedules.

    Cons

There are a LOT of old timers here. Not that I'm particularly age-ist or anything, but the job is stressful, requires some physical labor, and can be very tiring. The old timers have SO much seniority, from grandfathering in from past companies and contracts, that there is little chance that you will get full time, or even hours that you want that don't involve staying past midnight sometimes. Sometimes the passengers are really peevish. Like, if you get a passenger who has family waiting, but it's busy so there is no possible way on earth that you can take them before the plane is empty, then they complain. A lot. Complaints look bad on the company, but it is part of working there. You learn to deal with ornery passengers.

    Advice to Management

I'm not really sure I have much to say to them. They do pretty well with the resources they are given. It's a demanding environment.

I worked at G2 Secure Staff part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Room for advancement
    Not horrible pay
    Management was good to me
    Always opportunity for overtime
If you did your job properly it’d be smooth sailing
    Provided uniforms and gear
Always made sure you had two consecutive days off

    Cons

Very cold and wet conditions at times
Did not keep me in the position I was hired for
Very dangerous if not paying attention or did not follow safety rules

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed my time at G2. Management did the best they could with what they were given.

I have been working at G2 Secure Staff full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Management is really good about taking care of employees.

Contracted with American Airlines Cargo. Good opportunity to meet people at the DFW Airport to further career. Always around AA employees and management.

The jobs at AA Cargo aren't that difficult. Pay is fair for what the job requires.

    Cons

Not very many cons. Like everything - work is what you make of it.

The only con I can think of is that changes in policies are made and sometime it takes weeks to get everyone on the same pages (and that's as long as they don't change it again).

    Advice to Management

New changes are often confusing. Please make sure everyone is on the same page before the people in charge go home on the weekend and are relatively unreachable.

I worked at G2 Secure Staff part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love working at the airport.

    Cons

It was great when I started. But as you move up there is no benefit. It depends on which station and which airline if you get flight benefits. Upper management does not care about employees. You do everything airline employees do for way less pay.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the people you have before they realize you dont care and quit and have to hire another body. It is not a safe environment when people are not properly trained.

I worked at G2 Secure Staff full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None, everyone I worked with was rude

    Cons

VERY unprofessional. WAY to much drama, gossip and management didn't care about anything. Falsely accused of things. Bullied. Harassed. Treated like you are stupid . Wasn't allowed to call out, split shifts with not even enough time to drive all the way home in between.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so horrible is a start

I have been working at G2 Secure Staff part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love meeting and talking to people from all over the world. It is a great way to network.

    Cons

No structure. Since delays can happen, you can be stuck at work for over 12 hours+ especially if you work evenings. For the same reason, you could go hours or all day without breaks or lunch. G2 is also very short staffed at our airport and it brings everyone down. The turn over rate is too high and there is no proper training/support which could be why people don't stay after 2 weeks.

    Advice to Management

I go days without seeing or talking to management. They tend to stay back in their office and not help out during long lines or customer service issues. The leads tend to do all of the manager duties. Communication is very poor. I recommend monthly team meetings/training and a proper and more structural way of creating the schedule.
