I have been working at G4S Secure Solutions part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people at G4S are just fantastic - polite, accommodating ~ these folks actually ASK if you would like a post - they don't shove it down your throat - they treat you with respect and do not skimp on benefits - training is A+ - just the whole nine yards more than you could ask for if you want to work in the security industry. I've worked for the "other."

    Cons

None ~ I just can't think of any

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

    I worked at G4S Secure Solutions full-time

    Pros

It is a job not a good one

    Cons

Supervisors are young and inexperienced. Don't know how to deal with older people who come to work every day and aren't late. If you don't go out and smoke with some of them they don't like you.. don't have a opinion cause they will hold it against you. Don't help someone get a job cause supervisors believe them and not you. Stay away!

    Pros

A lot of overtime. $2500 every two weeks take home. Literally the easiest job I have ever done. If you have military experience, apply.

    Cons

No 401k. Medical sucks, but everyone here is retired or has VA medical so it doesn't really matter to me.

    Advice to Management

Get 401k. Largest security company in the world and we don't have that??

I worked at G4S Secure Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job is not hard to do. You can work just about any shift. Sometimes you get overtime, and fast promotions. You can work multiple posts.

    Cons

Pay is minimum wage in training. Training is paid though, and state training provided as well. It is deducted later fro your check any license fees. Healthcare is terrible. Coverage is after 90 days and is minimal. You don't get any weekends off.

    Advice to Management

Make sure supervisors are competent and have people skills. Don't just fill a empty spot. Make sure you leadership knows how to speak to people. We are all adults and I will not be yelled at or cursed at.

    Pros

Very easy work. If you are a people person it's very easy to make connections.

    Cons

Pay is poor and based on the contract of the employer. Pay system consistently messes up. You have to pay for your own advanced training which is a requirement and the benefits are minimal. Very high turnover rate. No room for advancement or promotion

    Advice to Management

Better contracts for hire pay will equal less turn over. More room for advancement and promotion. Pay for the training. That's the least you can do as much as you hype yourselves up to be

    Advice to Management

Continue with development of your employees

Easy job for good money. Interesting assignments. Overtime.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Find better ways to keep records on employee records. Training is very quick and vague.

    Pros

It's not a hard working job, there is not enough pro pertaining to this company that can be written in 20 works by my point of view.

    Cons

It's amazing that this company have been given 3 stars. They lack integrity from from top to bottom. And also the idle threats from higher ranking"officers" are unbelievable. By far the worst company to work for.

    Advice to Management

If you know someone in the company that can manage this, then you are in, if not relax where you're at.
