I worked at GBH full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Parking garage is literally right next to the building - Incompetence by the Management led to somewhat okay schedules since they never bothered to check - Food trucks everyday in the alley next to Cartoon Network - You get to watch movies and shows way before release

    Cons

    - Management really doesn't care about you. They really don't. You meet with them to talk about something and they just stare at you like "Well, just do your job." - The office is old and grimey and gross. - It's a dead-end job. - The management way of handling stuff is really... amateur. Like embarrassingly amateur where it looks like a College Freshman trying to enter Macros on an excel sheet. - Management will overwork you. It's really sad. - Management will also judge you. Hardcore. - You are expendable. End of story. - Your pay sucks.

I worked at GBH full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This is one of the last places in the world that does not conduct the Agile ceremonies.

    Cons

People who need to concentrate are forced to work in an open office environment where people who don't need to work are partying and making a ruckus all day long. WGBH is a cheap, stingy employer. Unlike other workplaces, it never supply sugar or cream/milk for our daily coffee. Don't even bother looking for the free snacks and fresh fruits in the pantry you would see in other creative companies.

I worked at GBH full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Need to point out that this is a review for the company, The New Co, under Ben Godley. Before, this was the marketing wing of WGBH. Your peers at your own level. The people are fine as individuals, but as professionals they lack actual professionalism.

    Cons

Hierarchy and a sense of entitlement throughout the org. Middle management takes advantage of the structure and hierarchy. A LOT of complaining from middle mangers, with little movement forward or constructive growth. Little room to grow as a data professional if analytics is your goal.
