I have been working at GCR Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good location. Being near UNO is fun.

    Cons

Management in my dept was harsh. You name it when it comes to treating people wrong. Demeaning, condescending, unappreciated, overworked, high turnover, power gaming. They tried the track every single hour and saying I did reaearech didn't cut it. It all about pure production 100% of the time. Paranoia could be at the root. Very hard to work for.

    Advice to Management

No point. id say loosen up, but a paranoid person doesn't loosen up.

I have been working at GCR Inc. full-time

    Pros

Decent pay for the area. Health insurance is so so (very high deductible). Decent 401k although most people leave long before retirement.

    Cons

Worst job I've ever had. Management in my division is 100% worried about revenue and treats its employees like garbage. I can't speak for other divisions, but the only people that have stayed long term in my division are the ones who can't afford to retire or don't want to start over. It is standard in my department for management to yell at employees for making mistakes even though there is zero training. The turnover rate is extremely high due to lack of courtesy or respect.

The worst decision of my professional career was taking a job at GCR.

    Advice to Management

Offer retirement packages to the bad apple(s) in upper management. They single handedly take every bit of enjoyment out of working at GCR and kill all moral.

It's got to be an eye opener when the turnover rate is so high in certain divisions. Employees don't quit companies, they quit bad managers.

I worked at GCR Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fairly flexible with the PTO of 10 hours per month if full time. 5 days a week and 40 plus hours when approved. Team effort is expected. Work schedule is somewhat flexible. Team Leads are confident and each fosters different management styles that leads to productivity.

    Cons

Pay is not equitable among full time employees and those who have more time and experience working Closeout to those with none or very little. Yet, often we are expected to train new employees who have no Closeout experience even while those new employees are all being hired at $5-15 more per hour. This leads to job dissatisfaction.

A Program Manager who leads any group needs to value their workers with more than undelivered promises of a pay increase. When morale turns low among your top producers, one should be asking why that is and what will it take to keep them productive yet content.

    Advice to Management

Quit telling lies it is bad for business.
