I worked at GDi as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Sometimes working on interesting projects. Good place to learn if you are fresh from Uni. Flexible working hours, but only if you are a full time employee.

    Cons

Not appreciating employees and their engagement. Extremely bad ratio in salaries vs how well an employee is performing. Highly talented people can have extremely low salaries who actually do the work, while some managers retain high salaries but don't bring any profit or new contracts to the company. HR policy in general is a disaster. They tend to take low cost labor (interns) and use them only for as long they have tax benefits. Afterwards they are replaced with new people which brings team leads into bad situations since new people need to be trained from the beginning.

    Advice to Management

Relying too much on input of 'trustworthy' employees while they have no clue about how well a department and/or a specific employee is performing.

    Pros

Good climate and average salaries, very positive climate and pleasant CEO

    Cons

Old garda of managers, company is missing the opportunities to grow, needs fresh healthy younger management with new approaches, sales process in Gisdata is a total mess on many occasions

    Advice to Management

Managers should have excellency in sales, not being just from companies of good brands

    Pros

Good working environment. Colleagues are friendly and supportive. Knowledge transfer is OK.
Good salaries, little above sector average.

    Cons

Management "lost in space" - lot of wrong decisions in last years, bad investments. Too many funds spent on public image than on substance and development.
President and CEO is micromanaging all the time.

    Advice to Management

Change management (fresh, younger experts needed), CEO should stop micromanagement and dedicate himself to strategic domain.
