GEHC pays well but the corporate culture can be obnoxious

The pay is very good. Weekly salary plus a relocation bonus plus a living stipend. Get real work experience and given real projects that are important.
Cons
Long hours; very passive-aggressive corporate culture; expectations are not made clear at the beginning

Long Hours

Generally flexible schedule depending on your people leader.
Cons
Long hours and working multiple projects seems to be expected. Can be hard to vacation given the amount of work and tight project schedules.

Maximum management and processes

Decent pay, but below industry standards, and you will earn every dime you make.
Cons
Simplification is the buzz word and it is killing people since everything simplified is now more difficult at lower levels. Too many layers in management and always adding more-you never know who you are actually reporting to. Seems to be an atmosphere of fear-no real accountability since everyone is focused on leaving a gap to crawl through to avoid accountability. Rigor doesn't begin to describe this job. Completely unreasonable expectations with long hours and weekends required to meet the demands. Work life balance does not exist. Raises aren't even at COLA levels, insurance is more expensive, coverage is lower, bonuses are gone. Processes are increased, hours are increased, expectations are increased.

Pros
Money and benefits. Most of my co-workers were very helpful to new-comers. They were very welcoming and most of them worked extreamly hard for their customers and put in long hours.
Cons
Your leaders dont even have a clue what your responsibilities are. "Put on your game face to customers" is a nice way of telling an employee to LIE about the product you represent in front of the customer. Challenged my morals and ethics way too much!
