Pros
Key to being successful and effective at workplace whether it is GE or otherwise is to have a great leader as your manager. Im lucky that way. My values compliment values of GE and I believe in work life integration which is the way GE works. GE allows you to work from home and have flexible hours and the focus is always on getting things done. Innovation, technology and collaboration are key success factors at GE.
Cons
Matrix organization. Complex org structures which in some cases dont make sense.

Pros
Supportive colleagues, great benefit, and always listen to employees' feedback. Management is willing to adjust and make changes to support employees. Benefits are good, bonus payout twice a year. Great work-life balance. Most of the staff is allowed to be hybrid model or work from home if they want to.
Cons
With too many processes, there is still manual work that needs to be done. Workload will increase constantly, with high expectations on what needs to be delivered. Org structure always changes.

Nice place to work but slow vertical growth
Apr 2, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in BengaluruRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work environment is good and supportive. Work from home option and flexibility on timings. Lots of facilities and perks. Lots of technical initiatives and encourage employees for innovation and trying new technologies. No variable component in the compensation for the professional band employees.
Cons
Vertical growth (promotions) is too slow due to horizontal structure of hierarchy. Employee remains at same band and same designation for quite some time. Too much propaganda over Company's legacy and values.
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
I work with great people, and I have a lot of freedom to creatively solve problems. Lots of flexibility for working from home as long as you are available online and get your work done.
Cons
Lot of inefficiency working with GE Corporate, and frequently an adversarial relationship with GE Corporate.

Great work-life balance and flexible for days needed to work from home
Cons
Salary could be better but you get a greater view of the entire operation more so than your typical company which will translate to great opportunities in the long run.
