    Pros

There is a person at the company who knows every last think, like the regulatory compliance requirements in Kenya.

    Cons

Easy to get lost in a massive complex system where no one knows what anyone else is doing. Hard to find the people you need to work with who know the information you are seaking.

    Cultural Driven

Jun 2, 2020 - Global Product Manager in Wauwatosa, WI

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Great training and tools to succeed. Depending on group and manager, remote work is possible. Business casual to casual environment. The number of poor managers outweigh the good/great managers by 15 to 1. Crotonville Corporate training provides leading edge training but you must be recommended and a leader in your business. Good pay and benefits if you have been there years and especially if you leave and come back.

    Cons

Quality, innovation, integrity and transparency had been values of GE for many years. Unless you have a great manager (far in between) you hear the talk but not see the walk. Global positions requires late or early hours in the U.S. and revenue drives (cash is king) everything. Cross-functional team work or cross-business team work is difficult as everyone is concerned with delivering on their targets ($$$). GE Healthcare tends to hire younger people and push out veterans so lots of lost knowledge. I can't count how many times I survived a round of annual layoffs.
