I have been working at GE Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

GE has a great diversity focus and is making a serious effort to put women in STEM jobs. There are opportunities to advance, benefits are good.

    Cons

GE moves quickly. This company is not for the faint of heart. You will be asked to do more in a week than some companies will ask in a month. Work/life balance gets blurred. Their onboarding process is awful. Hope that there is an experienced employee in your new department that can help you navigate as information is not well communicated. Often training is trial by fire. It is not uncommon to start a new job with nobody who knows exactly what you need to learn.

    Advice to Management

There are many new initiatives that are exciting and progressive. Please remember that while these are great in theory, often they don't actually flow down to the font line level.

I have been working at GE Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. It's a large company that creates a lot of interesting products. The people are generally good to work with.

    Cons

Constantly looking to save costs, which sometimes sacrifices quality. Always looking to transfer suppliers parts from the US to China and Mexico. They save a few dollars per unit, but they never calculate how much money was spent transferring the product.

    Advice to Management

Provide better mobility options for employees. Often times employees find it difficult to move across departments.
