I worked at GE Oil & Gas as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone was so very helpful and friendly. Never had to be afraid to ask questions. Hired as a freshman, so was still very new to industry and engineering. Was given real tasks and responsibilities. Mentor and boss were both very open to me trying other engineering tasks and wanted me to leave as well-rounded as possible.

    Cons

Sometimes not quite enough work to be done. Had to seek out tasks to keep me occupied sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Keep encouraging new engineers. Expose them to everything you can. It makes a lasting impact by letting them have a taste of what's to come.
