I worked at GE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generally good work conditions and pay but they will wring it out of you

    Cons

Spineless leadership, solely focused on profits and cash flow
Strings attached to every benefit/ reward
Fake advocacy for the trend of the week ... we're pro veteran, we're pro LBGTQ, etc (back to the spineless leadership ... no one stands for anything EXCEPT GE)
Cult like atmosphere at times ... "what have you done for mother GE today"

    Advice to Management

Get a back bone. Stand for something. Get some ethics. Stop being a narcissist and look out for your people.
Being a part of something bigger doesn't mean "do anything to bring profits to GE"
To the good ones - Watch your back... even at the executive band level, people are just another resource that the big GE machine chews up and spits out.

I have been working at GE full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Used to be a great place to work - especially early in your career - project leaders given a lot of visibility. Projects challenging and the caliber of the employees was very high

New leadership is needed. Work on R&D strategy and making internal technology transfer from GRC to GE businesses successful - this will make GRC more impactful to the GE businesses

    Advice to Management

I don't think GE Current is going to work out for you.
