Pros
Decent pay and benefits when I started.
Cons
The move to the Grove was unnecessary and expensive. Employees had to pay for parking and the office was eventually closed anyway due to GE Digital's failure. All remaining offices in Miami are closing as of 2023 in favor of other sites such as Monterrey, Mexico. Where there were originally over 100 Miami technicians, there are only about 25. As the office was expanding, a lot of office politics set in. You didn't know who to trust. Managers played favorites and did not have technical expertise. A manager having an intimate relationship with a direct report. A transgendered employee reports you to HR if you unknowingly refer to them as the incorrect pronouns. I didn't realize how toxic this workplace was until I left. The actual work was stressing. Lots of micromanaging and you were expected to take 2 or 3 chats at a time. There's also no room to grow in the company and a lot of the applications are so proprietary, you'll have little value to other organizations.

Pros
GE has a reputation for being able to get talented people (the draw is the name) People are nice to work with Benefits ok compared to other places
Cons
False promises-promote work/life balance to get you in the door Lack of professionalism and expertise of Senior Leadership Low Salaries compared to competitors---no incentives---no bonuses Unethical, cut-throat, throw you 'under-the-bus' culture Insensitive to employees needs and recommendations for improvement Promote people without backgrounds to positions and then pay for them to get the qualifications later Typically work 10 to 12 hr days and weekends Lack of employee recognition and use of Awards Recognition program Lack of career growth opportunities Favoritism Unfair pay with women Big salary discrepancies HR is a joke---lack of concern for employees--HR reps rotate frequently and promoted often High turn-over Company lacks innovation Company is behind the times in comparison with competitors Lack of training opportunities for employees- only for the 'chosen'
