    Pros

Company truly values their employees. They try to help with a good work/life balance as much as possible. They even offer multiple early days during the Summer so you're not stuck in office all day. Once a year we all get together in Chicago for conference and have a great time.

    Cons

Not the most balanced goal system for field reps.

    Advice to Management

Keep putting employees first as much as possible.

    Pros

Pay is decent but you won't ever get a raise. Management steals it from you by falsely accusing you of things.

    Cons

Mall Management will back-stab you and put blame on you so they can steal your bonuses. Company doesn't look out for it's employees.

    Advice to Management

    Review your mall management teams.

    Pros

Company proactively drives a healthy and positive culture. Provides a common language and common ground!

    Cons

Tendency to make everything a priority which is not helpful for the things that are true priorities.

    Advice to Management

Ask your people to think smarter, not just work harder.

    Pros

Big company with a small feel. I think GGP cared about all their employees and focused on getting them to grow within.

    Cons

The department was small and I wasn't able to grow..not saying that was the issue with all departments.

I worked at GGP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Corporate office convenient located
    - Some of the benefits are good

    Cons

    - Be ready to feel excluded from little groups AKA Clicks. (A lot of mean Women, worse than high school).
    - If you do not have a friend or family on high level position, FORGET about growing. You won't go anywhere even if you work really hard.
    - Bad HR - Discrimination reported. No action taken.

    Advice to Management

Value/Respect THE people that work hard, not just your friends.

    Pros

GGP has a moto of hire intelligent people and let them do their job. I find that true across the board. Work/life balance is respected here. Great culture. Forward thinking company.

    Cons

There can be a lot of rapid changes that you need to be ready to adjust to. Nothing too crazy, but seems to be a thing.

    Pros

Past bankruptcy and re-org gave company a chance to redefine and rebuild. A great combination of a stable business with new thinking from an infusion of folks with external experience.
Company has focused on properties less vulnerable to on-line retail competition, and shows leadership in modern issues of security and tech integration.
IT is laid back, but hardworking and well respected by business. Everyone has each other's backs.
CIO is bright, and trusts her team.
Changes in IT are creating new roles for people in the way of new work, new ways of doing work.

    Cons

Past challenges have some teams still finding their footing, but there has been great progress.

    Advice to Management

Keep updates coming, understand that every word carries meaning as employees watch retail related business go through transition. We appreciate being in the know.
