I have been working at GGP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly, and extremely casual.

    Cons

Promotions seem to be right place at the right time sort of deal. Management is always changing.

    Advice to Management

When you have employees who have been at the company for a few years and are young and have the ability to bring a lot to the company, I suggest paying them to stay instead of letting the turnover cost you more money in the end anyways.

    Pros

Co-workers are fun to work with, great culture and the salary/benefits are better than average.

    Cons

The work can get repetitive at times.

    Advice to Management

Lease Accountants should get more projects to work on. Employees should have access to "work from home".

    Pros

Company truly values their employees. They try to help with a good work/life balance as much as possible. They even offer multiple early days during the Summer so you're not stuck in office all day. Once a year we all get together in Chicago for conference and have a great time.

    Cons

Not the most balanced goal system for field reps.

    Advice to Management

Keep putting employees first as much as possible.

    Pros

GGP has a moto of hire intelligent people and let them do their job. I find that true across the board. Work/life balance is respected here. Great culture. Forward thinking company.

    Cons

There can be a lot of rapid changes that you need to be ready to adjust to. Nothing too crazy, but seems to be a thing.

    I worked at GGP full-time

    Pros

Good perks and pay, knowledgeable employees that have been in the industry for many years

    Cons

Very clique and not much direction for entry level workers and lack of opportunity to move up as there are many outside hires for management positions

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and encourage and foster the growth of skills of employees rather than letting them leave for manager positions at competitors

I have been working at GGP full-time

    Pros

Fairly flexible hours, friendly staff, they strive to build a good culture, they do support work/life balance, encourage health/exercise with small reward money, bonuses are good if you earn it

    Cons

Management does not groom to promote, communication in dept and company wide is lacking, some management is belittling calling staff members pet names like honey even after HR is informed

    Advice to Management

Guide, groom, and support promotions, help employees find their upward track so you don't lose your talent

I worked at GGP (More than a year)

    Pros

The company's culture is the best I've experienced - they practice what they preach for the most part. Work-life balance is actually a thing that's valued here. During my time, everyone was very cognizant of life outside of work and you'd often see high-level employees leaving around 5. There also seemed to be more employees than necessary, so work was spread thin and rarely did I see anyone stressed about their work. The company perks were also great, with a subsidized lunch, free gym, and good benefits. The pay is market - not bad, not great.

    Cons

There were a lot of management-level employees that had way too much free time on their hands. They also seemed to get meaningless title promotions every year, while the analysts and entry-level employees could go years without any sort of recognition for good work. There was a lack of movement below 'Manager', which resulted in a lot of turnover during my time there. If a lower level employee is performing well for 1-3 years, and you want them to stay, you need to incentivize them. It could be a small raise or even slapping a "senior" on their title. It doesn't require much. The only "promotion" I saw was through attrition.

    Advice to Management

There's plenty of fat to be trimmed here, starting with all the Managers through VPs. Incentivize lower-level employees if you want them to stay. Also, the CEO's pay is absolutely absurd

    Pros

    Benefits and pay are great!

    Cons

Poor communication between corporate office and field properties. Downsizing is always a threat. Executives are out of touch with what field jobs entail.
