      Great Leadership Team

      Pros

I very much enjoyed my time at GNC. It was a fantastic opportunity to build strong relationships and help people live healthier lives. Solid leadership that cared about you as an individual and wanted to help you to succeed as an employee. My employment actually ended in 2015, but that wasn't an option on the drop down.

      Cons

Lack of competitive pay eventually led to my career taking me elsewhere.

Not a bad job to have while finding the career you want

      Pros

      - flexible (you make schedule) - commission & contests + wage - get training and knowledge in a truly unique field - helping people live healthier lifestyles (if you like people) - sales goals that must be met & maintained, good for the go-getter & driven individual

      Cons

      - sales goals maybe challenging if you are not comfortable working with people or lack decent people skills - product knowledge maybe initially overwhelming, especially if you have no prior experience in the nutrition & supplement industry - your associates are typically young people (18-24) who don’t stay too long. so constantly hiring & training new associates can be a chore. Finding associates that are actually decent and flexible is also a challenge. - going OT is heavily frowned upon, even if the reasons why you have to are justified.

      Pros

Easy work, lots of flexibility, actually can help people.

      Cons

youre judged by the actions of bad managers looking for a quick buck, China bought the company and wants to be out of retail, pay isnt going to increase while PMs get cut and bonuses are out of reach. transparent push to get people shopping online to erode your sales so they can close your store.

      Unrealistic Quotas

      Pros

I truly enjoyed a majority of the customer base that came through our front door. I loved helping people and recommending products to help them achieve their overall fitness goals.

      Cons

The pay structure was at a bare minimal, management was horrible, and you were required to push GNC brand products in order to meet your monthly quotas.

      Pros

Commission plus hourly pay. Discounts, fun products, chance to help people sometimes or brighten a day

      Cons

Good cultures sometimes. Managers who aren't in the area may not be able to best distinguish the best leadership which can make a bad culture
